Description of the Chicxulub vacation villa rental

Architect designed, CASTILLO NICTE-HA VILLA was built NEW in 2006, The Villa is huge/spacious, 5,500 sq ft, with (3) floor levels and (5) bedrooms. Tiled throughout, Mediterranean style Villa, with 1 suite on the GROUND and PENTHOUSE levels and 3 suites on the SECOND level. Each level is complete with a full kitchen, dining table,living room, sheets,towels, down to the wine glasses. A private swimming pool. Only 150' to the beach, sleep to the sounds of the ocean.
This spacious five suite Villa, has separate entrances for privacy on each floor and each floor is totally self contained with a full kitchen and living room. Each level can be reserved separately if desired, for small groups of 2 to 6 persons, OR, the complete Villa can be reserved for larger groups. Occupancy can be increased to 14 if needed, as there are two sofa beds and several additional hammock hookups.

Mexican carved furniture, with 8 TV's and 9 ceiling fans. Each floor is also air conditioned and is fully screened.

Villa ' Castillo Nicte-Ha' the finest home in this beach area. It is complete in every detail for comfortable, serene living. Cool white linens and towels are included. It has everything, only your presence is needed.

Available all year round, It is quiet and a haven from the bustle of the city. One lot to the beach. By all means, enjoy the historic town center of Merida, with its charm, restaurants , night clubs and shopping etc but, return, rest and relax at this lovely serene home and beach breezes , only 26 miles from Merida.,

GROUND floor details: (2) 8ft sliding doors access the patio terrace and pool area. Wheel chair accessible shower, private bathroom, handrails. King bed or twins with additional hooks for 3 hammocks. Children (and some adults) love to sleep in hammocks. Outside beach shower. BBQ. AC. Dining table seats 8 plus 4 more at the bar.
SECOND level: Has three bed rooms,each with ceiling fans, 4 TV's. 3 showers and bathrooms. Two suites with Queen beds, have glass sliding doors, opening onto a large 25'x 20' furnished sun deck. The 3rd suite, with King bed or twins, has a separate rear sun deck. Full kitchen and living room. Dining table seats 6 or more. BBQ. AC
PENTHOUSE: Spacious, completely private suite. Ideally suited for a romantic vacation, with ocean views and lovely cocktail hour sunsets on the large palapa covered terrace, furnished with patio tables, chairs and hammocks. There is a 2nd shaded terrace with hammocks for quiet times, our "moon" terrace. BBQ AC. Great for entertaining at cocktail hour. Dining table seats 6 with 4 more at the kitchen table
NOTE! Each floor level is complete, private, separate and self contained, with living rooms, kitchen, linens etc, AND, can be rented separately.
Terraces, on each level, are large enough for large group socializing.
The Villa has on site caretaker 24/7, and self laundry facilities.
The Villa is cool, very spacious and well ventilated with screens on all doors and windows.
NOTE!! Air conditioning is seldom needed because of the moderate beach climate and clean ocean breezes, but it is there if needed This is a wonderful place to practice "Relaxing 101".

GENERAL INFORMATION.
Beaches are sandy. Water is warm and shallow. No large waves.
Explore Mayan architecture and ruins abounding on the Yucatan Peninsula, Dzibilchaltun is a 20 minute drive. Designated as one of the 7 wonders of the world, CHICHEN ITZA is 1-1/2 hours drive. UXMAL, about 1 hour. CAMPECHE- 2HRS. Explore the many small villages with local artisans, central plazas and cultural events. Swim/dive in cenotes (underground pools and swimming holes).Explore early 1900's Hacienda's of Yucatan.
The roads are good, traffic is light and CANCUN, COZUMEL, TULUM and the Mexican Riviera, with wonderful beaches and attractions, are a 4 hour toll road drive to the east.
Flocks of pink flamingos can be seen nesting on local lagoons (cienega's) and Celestun, and can be viewed in protected areas.
Many Mayan archaeological sites and ruins are nearby. CASTILLO NICTE HA villa is centrally located to many of them.
Fine dine at renovated Hacienda's and visit churches and Convents, remnants of a bygone Spanish cultural evolution era. Such a lot to see.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES.
Most of the theater concerts and events in Merida are free. Obtain tickets in person at the theaters for all events. Yucatan's capital city, Merida, has an historic town center, with four theaters, many charming restaurants and outdoor dining. A wonderful Cathedral, the oldest on the American mainland, is worth a visit in the main plaza. Sit outside enjoy an ice cream where people congregate at night. Many night clubs and activities, all within a few blocks. The Mayan Museum and a wide variety of places to shop and dine make this wonderful treasure of a city worth a visit.
Folklorico and other dances and concerts take place during the week in the main plaza.

Chiculub and Castillo Nicte-Ha villa, is 26 miles north of Merida City, on the N.West Gulf coast of the Yucatan Peninsula
PROGRESO,7 miles west of CHICXULUB, with it's fine Malecon esplanade and restaurants along the beach, has 2 supermarkets, shopping areas and local shops to stroll. A large marina and fishing boat harbor. There are sea front restaurants, many providing food and drinks to shaded tables ON the beach. Colorful street vendors and markets.
Cruise ships visit PROGRESO twice per week attract many local colorful artisans to the beach area. PROGRESO has the longest pier in the world.
A much slower pace of life is evident in Yucatan, which, combined with good food, clean air, beach breezes and great sunsets, can provide tranquility and relaxation. Venture forth but relax at the Villa at the beach. Little traffic here.
This Villa, Castillo Nicte-Ha, is the finest home in this area. It is located east of Progreso and 1 mile walk along the beach, east of CHICXULUB, a quiet fishing town of helpful, friendly locals. Here are many restaurants, and small markets. After your day of explorations, a local restaurant, will cook AND deliver your requested lunch or dinner for a nominal sum. What more can you ask for.
FYI, check out the internet at "travelyucatan", it has lots of information about Yucatan. A surprising number of expatriates and Canadians fraternise and, understandably, "winter" here for months in this moderate and friendly climate.
