The climactic ending of that film takes place along the upper cliff trail and the top waterfall. Lake Lure, our neighboring community, was the film location for the movie "Dirty Dancing." Asheville, a short drive away, offers visitors unique shopping in its many antique and exclusive shops, as well as North Carolina's treasure, George Vanderbilt's home, The Biltmore House.
