Write a review I can't say enough about this home, the view, the location and most of all the exceptional customer service demonstrated by the home owner. We had a small issue (our fault) with the TV - He drove 4 hours to come and fix it and then proceeded to take my family for a wonderful boat ride. Unbelievable experience. This is our second stay. My husband now desparatly wants to purchase a home just like this one. I would highly recommend the area to everyone!! Great place to begin exploring Virgina's "outer banks". Chincoteque and Assateque close by for day trips of biking, hiking and beaching. Ocean city also close for boardwalk fun. The house was a great place to stay and relax with fishing, boating and golfing on site. If your looking for a great place to spend time with your family without all the crowds this is what your looking for. It has everything that you will need and the homes layout is perfect for a family get away. If you want a day or night of glitter Ocean City is just a short drive north. The club house and pool are an extra bonus and the food at the club house is worth it too. The owner is a pleasure to deal with. We'll be back! After years of Ocean City crowds (even in Ocean Pines) we've discovered that Captain's Cove is the ideal launching point for an Eastern Shore vacay. This place just feels like home, in a real neighborhood, where no matter which way you walk, you hit open water, without the smell of traffic and creosote -- or the sounds of screaming throngs. The Cove is quiet, with gorgeous, private waterfront areas where you'll see only dog-walkers and sailboat-launchers. There are acres of woodlands and countless sunset and sunrise views with zero "cigar" boats or rowdies. This particular house is perfect for families or intimate groups -- sleeps eight -- with a kitchen made for Shore life. (Has mallets, stemware, and eating spaces indoors and out.) There are even crab pots ("traps") that you can tie off and toss into the water for fresh catch at your fingertips. Barely an hour from OC, just a few minutes from Chincoteague, with a dozen more attractions in between, we've found our home away from home. We just returned from this beautiful home. It was a family vacation for my husband and I and our two teen-aged children. The youngest one will be off to college in a few days and we wanted a week together as the 'last family hurrah'. We could not have choosen a better place to stay. The home is modern, beautiful, immaculate and spacious. The owners are absolutely wonderful - extremely easy to work with and extremely accomodating! Our vacation was everything I hoped our family vacation would be. I would HIGHLY recommend this home to any family (or friends) looking for a beautiful home, complete with state of the art audio and visual media, right on the waterfront. I do hope we will be able to return next year! Thank you so much!!! This was the most relaxing vacation my family and I have ever had. The house is new, clean and very roomy with great audio systems. The waterfront view is spectacular and the fishing is great and only a few minutes to the bay. Everything about this property is perfect for a quiet getaway from it all. We will be back! This house, and Captain's Cove, are the perfect place to escape the hustle of everyday life. Beautiful views, easy access to the bays from the private dock, championship quality golf, and tons of wildlife are ready to take your mind off all things stressfull. And, then there's the house itself: open and clean with a spectacular view over the water, and one of the coolest AV systems we've ever seen! This house is not to be overlooked. We can't wait to get back. We had a great time at this rental. The house was wonderful and had all the amenities. The owner was really easy to work with and made the rental experience very smooth. I would highly recommend it and will definitely keep it in mind for our future vacations. The area is very central to visit both Chincoteague Island and also Ocean City. What a wonderful home right on the water. We couldn't have asked for anything better than this gem. It was very clean and spacious with all the amenities you need. The clubhouse which wasn't open yet looks beautiful!! We had bonfires at night with smores and went swimming.. We'll be back soon!!!
