Take a bike ride (bike rental at Clearwater Cycling) through the affluent neighborhoods or down the Pinellas Trail, just blocks from the home. Two blocks west of the home is a public pier on Clearwater Bay where you can fish or just sit and soak in the beauty of the area. Clearwater Beach is a short 5 minute drive over the Clearwater Causeway (or nice bike ride to the oceanfront). The home is also within walking distance to downtown Clearwater, top-rated area restaurants and coffee shops.

Area Information

This historic area of Clearwater is just blocks from the downtown area, two blocks to the bay and five minutes to Clearwater Beach. We are located near the bluffs of the original Fort Harrison, a historic recuperation center for soldiers built in 1822. This area is rich in history and is surrounded by huge mossy oaks and beautiful historic homes at every corner. Top rated restaurants and coffee shops are all within walking distance of the home as are numerous piers to fish or sit and relax and enjoy the surroundings.

This little lavender cottage home was one of the best choices we've made in a long time. Every detail has been addressed. The bed was like "the cloud" available at upscale hotels. We were tired every night from the days fun so getting into such a comfy bed was sooo great. We rented bikes by the beach and road thru the historic neighborhoods. The market is set up on central street on Wednesdays from 10-2. We ate breakfast at a local diner. People were friendly The screened porch was so relaxing in the morning and evening. Thank you for sharing your home!!!

Unbelievable experience - first time to this part of Florida, didn't know where to stay, and gave this cottage a try. Everything thing we had hoped for, and more - very clean, quiet neighborhood, Bed was soooooo comfortable that we didn't want to get out! Kitchen equipped with everything you need. Walked to the beach every morning, found a nice little breakfast place couple blocks away, as well as nice places for lunch/dinner within walking distance. Although there was no real reason to leave in our car because everything was there, we drove to clearwater beach and watched the sun set (about 10 minutes away). So very impressed with this place - thank you very much for the great hospitality. We WILL be back - already planning May or June get away. Thank you very much!

I recently spent the week at the cottage and was very impressed. The house is wonderfully decorated with all of the creature comforts of home. The beds were very comfortable which provided me with some of the best sleep I have had in months. Details such as soft bath towels and sheets made my stay all the more enjoyable. The area is quiet and beautiful with many places to see and eat with a walking distance. Just a few minutes away from Clearwater beach, made it very nice to go from a long day at the beach right to the cottage in no time. I found the owners Jennifer and Derek to be very easy to work with during the booking process as well as through out the stay when I had questions. I have recommended this cottage to many of my friends and have already made plans for another visit in May.

We stayed in early March 2013 and the cottage was immaculately cared for ... hard to believe it's 100 years old! Lots of history in this harbor view neighborhood just steps from downtown Clearwater / Cleveland Street. We just loved walking one block to the beautifully maintained and clean pier right on the ICW/ Clearwater Bay overlooking SandKey Bridge and the Gulf of Mexico. Great spot to bring the provided beach chairs and sit and drink coffee and read the paper every morning and evening. We also especially liked the locality to access Clearwater Beach in literally 5 minutes. Just down Oak Ave and take a left and your across the causeway bridge on the beach in minutes! We just love the location and all it's fine amenities... the beds and linens are so comfy! You guys thought of every little detail. We are coming back this Summer ! The Cottage at Clearwater was the perfect get-a-way for our family. Weather was perfect, people were perfect and the "little purple house" was perfect! Couldn't have dreamed of a better place to stay and feel right at home. A few places we liked include: Clearwater Beach, John's Pass, Crabby Bills, The Clearwater Marine Aquarium etc.... I could go on for days! Whoever is next will definitely enjoy their stay! Relax and kick back because this is the perfect spot to do it. The neighborhood makes for great walks, looks and experiences!
