Description of the Clermont vacation guesthouse rental

In the midst of a large National Register Property a half mile from anyone is this large Carriage House built by the Livingston Family. You can walk to the river or the many trails we keep on this 200 acre plus property. It is a birders delight- as I write this I am watching a bald eagle perched in one of our trees. A great blue heron family calls our pond home and flocks of wild turkeys meander the property. The Carriage House was recently redone by an interior designer and features high end linens and comfortable furnishings both inside and out.The beds are as follows:1 king, 1queen, 2 full and a full pullout along with a twin daybed. Fully air-conditioned it has wi-fi, large kitchen with a dishwasher, wood burning fireplace, tv room, washer/dryer in addition to the four bedrooms and four and a half baths. Area Information

We are located 20 minutes north of Rhinebeck NY home of America's Oldest Inn , The Beekman Arms and The Rhinebeck Aerodrome and Fairgrounds. Bard College's Gehry designed Center for the Performing Arts is ten minutes south of us. Tivoli, NY with its many restaurants is a hop, skip and a jump away. Hudson, NY with its Antique shops and Stair Gallery Auction House is fifteen minutes north. There are many other historic Properties in the surrounding that are open to visitors- Clermont- seat of the Livingston Family, Olana- Home of Artist Frederick Church- Wilderstein a totally intact Queen Anne Victorian home of the Suckeley family. Needless to say there are enough activities to fill a week in the Hudson Valley and then some.
