This pine home and 100+ feet of lake frontage is the perfect outdoor getaway for you and your family. Far enough away to enjoy nature yet close enough to enjoy the finer things in life, within minutes from Bangor and Acadia. The vacation home sleeps 6, and has propane heat, a fully equipped kitchen, clothes washer/dryer, as well as fresh linens and towels. This beautiful lake lot also includes a private beach swim area great for the small kids and for the more adventurous; canoes and kayaks are at your disposal with a large boat dock. Springy Pond is a spring fed lake with unusually clear water with a max depth of over 60 feet, making for some excellent fishing in the area. Also, being stocked recently with splake. Nearby water recreation includes swimming, brook fishing, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, hiking bicycling, four wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting. The home is also readily available to Acadia National Park on the coast, which would make for good day trips. This is a luxurious vacation getaway perfect for a relaxing Maine retreat.

 wonderful vacation in springy ponds, August 25, 2009

We had the best time with Carol and Duncan on their beautiful pond. They treated us like family. The cabin was airy and clean. We visited Acadia National Park, played in the kayaks and canoes and went swimming.I can not wait to return to that little bit of heaven on earth, thank you Carol and Duncan.

Staying here provided the perfect balance to exploring busy Acadia National Park. Springy Pond is really a beautiful, incredibly clean, secluded lake. We loved swimming, canoeing, kayaking and exploring around the lake. The owners are wonderful and very generous to share their little slice of paradise. We highly recommend Springy Pond!

Our family travelled to Maine for the first time this summer, and enjoyed a wonderful 2 weeks at this home on Springy Pond. The home is clean, well equipped, and was everything we were hoping it would be. The owners, right next door, were friendly and available, but gave us our space as well. Springy Pond is rural, peaceful and clean, and we all had a ball on the kayaks and canoes, fishing and hiking. The location is good...fairly close to Acadia, and plenty of other attractions. We would come back to this location in a heartbeat.
