Enjoy the way life should be in a seasonal lakeshore cabin nestled on pristine Springy Pond in Clifton, Maine. This pine home and 100+ feet of lake frontage is the perfect outdoor getaway for you and your family. Far enough away to enjoy nature yet close enough to enjoy the finer things in life, within minutes from Bangor and Acadia. The vacation home sleeps 6, and has propane heat, a fully equipped kitchen, clothes washer/dryer, as well as fresh linens and towels. This beautiful lake lot also includes a private beach swim area great for the small kids and for the more adventurous; canoes and kayaks are at your disposal with a large boat dock. Springy Pond is a spring fed lake with unusually clear water with a max depth of over 60 feet, making for some excellent fishing in the area. Also, being stocked recently with splake. Nearby water recreation includes swimming, brook fishing, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, hiking bicycling, four wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting. The home is also readily available to Acadia National Park on the coast, which would make for good day trips. This is a luxurious vacation getaway perfect for a relaxing Maine retreat.

Area Information

Eastern & Downeast Maine. One of the more well-rounded areas for both recreational aspects as well as modern conveniences, while only being 30 minutes from Bangor (second largest city in the state) and still being able to enjoy the surrounding peace & quite of the area. Many Lake, River, Ponds and Streams surround the area for endless possibilities of fishing and recreation. The coast is only minutes away as well as famed Acadia National Park. Restful and relaxing honeymoon

Our week at Springy Pond was a perfect break after months of planning our wedding. It was a great place to spend our first week together. We were far enough away from everything that we didn't feel pressured to keep busy, but close enough that we were able to take a couple of trips into Bar Harbor. Duncan and Carol were wonderful hosts. Springy Pond will definitely be at the front of our minds anytime we're able to take a vacation in the future.

Serene Springy Pond!

Our family week at Springy Pond was so wonderful. Our hosts were gracious and kind and provided a beautiful cottage for us to live in for a week right on the water. Our family rediscovered the art of conversation during meals and together time as we Kayaked the pond and discovered the surrounding area! The kids could fish and feed ducks and marvel at the beauty around them. We spent so many hours together and would most certainly return. Thanks again for a wonderful time ! wonderful vacation in springy ponds

We had the best time with Carol and Duncan on their beautiful pond. They treated us like family. The cabin was airy and clean. We visited Acadia National Park, played in the kayaks and canoes and went swimming.I can not wait to return to that little bit of heaven on earth, thank you Carol and Duncan.

Staying here provided the perfect balance to exploring busy Acadia National Park. Springy Pond is really a beautiful, incredibly clean, secluded lake. We loved swimming, canoeing, kayaking and exploring around the lake. The owners are wonderful and very generous to share their little slice of paradise. We highly recommend Springy Pond!

Wonderful experience at Springy Pond

Our family travelled to Maine for the first time this summer, and enjoyed a wonderful 2 weeks at this home on Springy Pond. The home is clean, well equipped, and was everything we were hoping it would be. The owners, right next door, were friendly and available, but gave us our space as well. Springy Pond is rural, peaceful and clean, and we all had a ball on the kayaks and canoes, fishing and hiking. The location is good...fairly close to Acadia, and plenty of other attractions. We would come back to this location in a heartbeat.
