This is the ideal modern Maine cabin L.L. Bean style furnished with 4 bedrooms - 1 1/2 baths, laundry, full kitchen, Internet, DirecTV, and all linens, furnishings, ware, and items necessary for a relaxing vacation available.
We do not permit weddings or large groups at the property - it is for vacation purposes only. Sorry.
There is a "Bunkhouse" (4th bedroom) located 50 feet from the main house on this private 1/2 acre point of an island in Cobbosseecontee Lake that is accessible via a private road over a causeway.
The bedrooms include a large Queen Suite upstairs with a 1/2 bath (toilet & sink), and a queen bedroom and two twin bunk beds (sleeps 4) in a third bedroom downstairs. There is a couch that turns into a full bed in the living room area as well as a queen bed in the "bunkhouse". The "bunkhouse" is a nice retreat for a couple wishing privacy from the "crowd" in the main house and has been quite popular in the past at our other properties.
On the waterfront, there is a new large dock great for tying up your fishing boat - or one of our rental boats.
The property has an expansive waterfront access with incredible views to the west promising full sun all afternoon as well as spectacular sunsets. There is also a large fire pit at the water's edge where many evenings can be enjoyed roasting marshmallows by the fire.
This is a great property for the wild life lover. While swimming is possible at this property, some plant life near the dock boasts an atmosphere more for the fisherman than the swimmer. Many past renters head out into the lake to swim using the included kayaks or the rental boat.
Lots of birds and water mammals pass by the property every hour.
2 kayaks are included with the rental of the property. A 15 foot fishing boat with 15hp 4 stroke electric start outboard is at the property available for rent at $550 a week as well.

The lodge was well laid out for group activities. There really is no swimming potential due to shallow and weedy nature of shoreline and dock area.Back deck was spacious for cookouts and relaxing. Canada Geese had been in yard and left piles of poop around which we cleaned up ourselves so kids could run around. Internet access; television; dishwasher; washer and drier were all assets. Grill was functional but somewhat rusted out. Bunkhouse was good for sleeping but solar powered fan motor ventilation did not work; apparently has never worked so bunkhouse could remain quite hot even into evening. New house construction and float plane nearby could add noise to the picture but mostly very quiet and peaceful. Cell phone reception was spotty. Canoeing and kayaking on lake were a plus. Upon arrival had an adult and child stung by wasps nesting under porch rail. Firepit was good for family gathering and marshmallow toasting but mosquitoes were voracious after dark.Good first aid kit available on site helped with many small bites and scrapes. Big refrigerator was good for food and leftover storage. Westward facing orientation lead to some beautiful sunsets. Overall the week was rated a success by family.

This house is not as big as the photos make it look. The waterfront is just for boating, no way can you go in the water. Way too mucky and weedy. Fishing was good not great. All the amenities were good. Everything worked and a good time was had by all. I would recommend this property.
