Description of the Cobbossee Lake vacation cottage rental

This 2 bedroom cottage sits 20 feet from the waters edge on a quiet cove at the south end of Cobbosseeconte (Cobbossee) Lake. Relax, sunbath and watch Loons, Osprey, and Eagles from the 12' x 24' deck. Fish, swim, waterski or just cruise the lake.

Cobbossee Lake is about 8 miles long by one mile wide and has numerous islands, some with public access. Cobbossee is one of the best bass fishing lakes in Maine and several large bass have been caught right off the dock. Dock space is available for up to a 20 foot boat and a state launch area is nearby. Space for trailer parking is available.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms with a double beds, bathroom with shower, propane range and fireplace, cable TV, DVD player, microwave, and A/C. All linens are furnished except for beach towels.

Due to the closeness to the water we do not recommend this cottage if you have young children. The cottage is a non-smoking unit and pets are not allowed. Overnight guests are not allowed without prior approval and an additional charge. Daytime guests are allowed but because of parking and septic issues they must be limited.

Rental of canoes and boats are available on the lake.

Check in is after 2PM on Saturday and checkout is prior to 10AM the following Saturday. Rates are $800 per week.

Area Information

The cottage is located in the town of Litchfield which is about 45 minutes from Freeport and 20 minutes from Augusta. While there are numerous attractions readily available in Maine no one would want to leave this great lake with all it has to offer.
The owners camp is next door and will help you with items of interest during your stay.
Shopping and restaurants are just minutes away.

Cobbosse Fishing Trip

Hosts Bill & Mary live next door and were extremely helpful with all our questions including where to fish (in fact, we caught a 17" largemouth right off their dock and saw at least 6 more at their dock 15" or more!). The lake is beautiful and the fishing was very good considering it had rained the entire week before and the water level was high (our dock was underwater when we got there). Shopping is pretty close and there was a nice restaurant less than 10 minutes away. All in all a very positive and relaxing trip!

Very quiet location of true cove of the lake. Very relaxing place. the owners of the place were very friendly, answered all our concerns, Plenty to see and do. Would recommend this place again

The house is much more than I expected, so comfortable with every amenity! The view of the lake and the sounds of the loons made this a perfect getaway. Dan was very accommodating and friendly. We hope to be back!

Nice Camp In Maine

We had a great time. The camp was a little small but it worked out great. It was on a beautiful part of Cobbossee lake. My kids enjoyed the fishing and the boating. The camp is very close to a little golf course that was also fun to play. I would definitely go back again.
