The property has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living room, a dining room, a breakfast room and utility room with washer and dryer. The living room has a "picture window" with a great VIEW of PIKES PEAK. The house is furnished with 3 queen size beds (1 in each bedroom), leather furniture in the living room and a great dining room good for 8 persons to sit at the table and a brand new flat screen TV in the living room.
You will find a lot of visitors information, guide books and articles about all local attractions at the house, as well as maps and brochures.
OLD COLORADO CITY is the oldest city in the Pikes Peak Region. Established in 1859 and designated the first capital of the Colorado Territory in 1861, it was annexed to Colorado Springs in 1917 and restored as Colorado Springs' only Historic District in 1977.
Another favorite stop on any tourist's list is magnificent towering sandstone red rock formations at GARDEN OF THE GODS, a 1,364-acre national landmark visible from many points in the city.
The INDIAN CLIFF DWELLINGS is a rare historical treasure. Preserved under a protective red sandstone overhang, authentic Anasazi cliff dwellings. The actual ruins (c.1100 - 1300 A.D.) provide a compelling setting for the Indian dancers who perform from June through August.
Drive the Pikes Peak Highway, hike the Barr Trail, or ride the PIKES PEAK COG RAILWAY to the 14,110 ft. summit for breathtaking view.
Take a tour at MIRAMONT CASTLE a Historic Victorian museum featuring 9 styles of architecture, CAVE OF THE WINDS, and INDIAN CLIFF DWELLINGS Museum. Nearby are the US Air Force Academy, US Olympic Training Center, historic Broadmoor Hotel, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo , and the Flying W Ranch.
Within an hour's drive are the Royal Gorge Bridge & Railroad (it is 1,053 ft high, come second to none to the awesome Grand Canyon), the gold mining town of Cripple Creek, Florissant Fossil Beds with its huge petrified redwoods and incredibly detailed fossils of ancient insects and plants.
Kids will be delighted to visit North Pole/Santa's Workshop, a Christmas Themed Family Amusement Park.

Exceeded my expectations

My sister and I took my Mom here for her 75th birthday. There is PLENTY to do and all very near. The neighborhood that the home is located in, is very quiet, and rarely a car goes by. I would recommend to anyone.

Delightful cozy home

This property was very clean and tidy and all the necessities you will need. Bedrooms are small but the living area is quite generous with a large backyard and all you need to have a BBQ . It's very close to a large grocery store and easy access to the freeway as well.

Great little cottage
July 29, 2011
We recently stayed at this cottage for a week and enjoyed our stay very much. The location is wonderful and you are very close to all the touristy things in CO Springs. The rooms aren't huge, but you're not spending much time there anyway, so that didn't bother us. The house is clean and everything is in working order. We have two children and it was nice to be able to fix our own food and not eat out every meal. The washer and dryer are a nice bonus, too. One drawback for us was the lack of wi-fi. It would be nice to have the option of logging onto your laptop or tablet and we couldn't. Overall this house is a bargain and you can't beat the location!

Thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful hotel suite. We recently visted Colorado to be with my son when he returned from Iraq. Our visit was made extra special because of where we stayed. The rooms had so much character and everything was so clean and well kept. I hope to visit again soon and plan on staying in the same suite.

What a peaceful & cozy place to be . It was one of the coziest places that I have been to . The location was perfect for what we wanted to do . Wonderful neighborhood to walk in . We saw deer one morning on our walk . Everything seemed so peaceful .A very spacious backyard for our dogs . They loved the "dog park" that was just a bit down the road . Highly recommended to anyone that is stressed out . This was a stress free vacation for us . It is a very quiet neighborhood . I can't wait to go back again . Looking at Pike's Peak everyday in itself was just breath taking .
Happy with rental

We stayed 3 nights in this great little house which was centrally located to meet all of our needs. It was a nice house that had everything we needed and we were very pleased with the location. We never used the washer or dryer and never did cook, but it was nice to know the appliances were there if we needed them. The price was very affordable. Thank you.

Just what we were looking for

We had a very nice time in this home. It was very convenient to everything that we wanted to visit in the area. The home was comfortable for 6 adults and was located in a nice quiet location. It would be a great place if you have a small child as there are lots of toys/crib/high chair available for your use and the backyard is fenced in. We ate the majority of our meals out since there are so many wonderful restaurants in the area, however the kitchen is well stocked with anything you would need to cook for yourself. We would stay here again.

Nice Little House and a Great Location
April 23, 2010
We had a wonderful time in Colorado Springs, and loved your little house! It had all the amenities of home, and was in a nice, quiet location. We liked the view of Pikes Peak and cozy living room. We walked to historic district, found some great places to eat. There is a great antique shop there my husband bought an old German beer stienglass. We went to Garden of the Gods a few times and saw some deer at sunset. We had a great time in Colorado Springs.
We had an awesome time! We loved staying in Colorado Springs and being so close to all the things we had on our list to see. Pikes Peak (via Cog Railway), Seven Falls and Garden of the Gods. We also went to the Air Force Academy and Focus on the Family...We have been long time listeners of this program and our boys have many of the Adventures in Odyssey CD that they have listened to for years. All these places are a must see for the first time visitor to the Colorado Springs area. On our way home we stopped at the Royal Gorge where my youngest son (11) dared to go fly on the Sky Coaster. Unforgettable!
Your house was very nice! My husband and I often commented on the fact that we would not have found a nicer or more convenient place to stay in Colorado Springs. Your cottage was clean and inviting, your kitchen had everything we needed to cook (loved the Foreman Grill). The beds were comfortable! The neighborhood was very quiet. We loved walking the streets of Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs and looking in all the different culture type shops. We had the BEST time on this family vacation and are so thankful for your hospitality in making our vacation one we will always remember. We so appreciated all the details you thought of in making our stay enjoyable...like the gift basket, the information binder, the beautiful bedding set for our room and the chocolate.
Thanks for your part in making our time in Colorado Springs memorable!!
Thank you for the cottage for Parents Weekend, the place worked out great and we had a wonderful time with our boys. Everything was fine with the house. It was very clean. Thank you for the breakfast basket. Location of the cottage is awesome! We enjoyed our stay very much.
Our stay at the cottage was wonderful. Thanks so much for the "goodies" and information brochures. We really enjoyed ourselves.
Thanks again for sharing the cottage.
We had a wonderful time in Old Colorado City and would happily recommend your home to anyone vacationing in the area. The house was extremely close to many area attractions and fully equipped with everything we needed to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you for the t-shirts and breakfast basket in the kitchen; these were little touches that made a huge difference to us.
Thank you again for everything that you did to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. We hope to return in the future.
