Description of the Conejos River Canyon vacation cabin rental

We are located 22 miles west of Antonito, Co. and 28 miles east of Chama, N.M. just off Hwy. 17. The home is up on the hill behind the Red Bear restaurant in a community called Horca. Just east of the restaurant is a sign facing south which reads 'enterinn'. Take the road going up the hill behind the restaurant. There is another small sign 'enterinn' where you turn onto the property--just a few yards from Hwy. 17. The home is next to a 12 unit condominium lodge. It is a two-story log style home.

The Conejos River runs along, and through, the community. There is an RV park to the right and down the hill. There are cabin home properties to the south of Hwy. 17 as well.

Nearby is the Great Sand Dunes National Park, Angel Fire Ski resort in Taos N.M., the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Narrow Gauge Railroad, fishing, hunting, four-wheel driving, beautiful scenic byways, wildlife viewing, cross-country skiing, sno-shoeing, ski-mobile rentals and hiking. It is a quiet, serene environment, for those wanting time away from activity as well.

The Red Bear Restaurant is open the last weekend in May through November. It has a convenience store, lounge and bar.
Taos, N.M., is about a 70 minute drive and Sante Fe is about a three hour drive(or less) from the cabin. Pagosa Springs is around 1 1/2 hours and Durango is less than three hours.

• Deposits: 20% down is required at time of booking. Cancellation will depend on amount of time before arrival and may be up to 20%. I respectfully ask that my home be left in "as is" condition upon your departure -- excepting laundry, dusting & vacuuming -- if you are booking for a cabin rental.
