Area Description
North Wales is a diverse area and a journey in any direction takes you to mountains, stunning scenery, lakes, empty beaches, medieval castles and numerous golf courses.
The cottage is on Conwy Marina where you can walk to Conwy Golf Club (voted Welsh Club 2007), beaches and the marina pub with restaurant.
The town of Conwy is dominated by its 13th century castle overlooking the medieval streets and pretty harbour and is a 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk along the headland path.
Conwy is the gateway to the beautiful Snowdonia National Park where the highest peak in England and Wales can be climbed (or for the less energetic take the train to the top).
Within a 30 minute journey is the Island of Anglesey, an area of outstanding natural beauty, from here you can catch the fast ferry (90 minutes) to Ireland. The Roman City of Chester is a little further afield as is the timeless Llyn Peninsula.
