A family escape at a quiet relaxing country cottage get-a-way. This is not a resort lake. It is, however, a quiet country lake with a small public launch. Winfield Lake Cottage is comfortably furnished and is equipped with all the luxuries of home! Winfield Lake Cottage is located on one of West Michigan's beautiful inland lakes in the panhandle of Montcalm county. It features a deck overlooking the lake, equipped with patio furniture, gas grill, private dock, and a lake side bonfire pit. Area activities include fantastic fishing, swimming, boating, water sports, and snowmobiling. Winfield Lake Cottage is located 30 miles North of Grand Rapids and 5 miles East of Howard City in Coral, Michigan.

Walking distance to a Family Park with playground, 18 hole Birchwood Golf Course, and a small public boat launch. 5 miles from Howard City where you will find ice cream parlors, pizzerias, shopping, restaurants, cocktail lounges, grocery store, shopping, and gas stations. Grand Rapids is only 45 minutes away with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, Fredrick Meijer Gardens, White Caps baseball, VanAndell Arena, festivals, shopping malls, movies, airports.... most everything a big city has.

quiet getaway, October 10, 2007 Will be in touch for next year!
The kids couldnt have been more excited about fishing off the dock. Carly (4yrs old) caught her first fish and her second, third, fourth and fifth! We lost count of the Blue Gill and Perch and caught a couple of nice Bass as well.
Terrific neighbors! Tom and Kathy made us feel very welcome. We hated to leave but are taking away some wonderful family memories that will last a lifetime.
Would definitely recommend this to family and friends as a great place to relax and get away from it all.

We arrived from Sharpsville INDIANA on Friday, June 22, 2007. Stayed until June 29th. The weather started out mild with temps in the low 80s. Midweek the temps rose to high 80s to low 90s and lots of humidity. Then cooled back to 70s by weeks end. We spent the majority of our time fishing from the dock. Caught some nice bass. This was a great place to relax and do as little as possible!!
We loved your neighbors, Cathy and Tom. They made us feel welcome and it felt like home..
The 'turtle event' was a high point!! Ha! Ha!
