Andersen Island Lodge is now offering for rental an absolutely stunning newly built lodge/cabin home. Located 22 miles Northwest of Cordova, the nearby calm waters teem with halibut, salmon, and marine life. Outboard powered skiffs available for rent for your exploring and fishing. This lodge was recently featured on the Kent Hrbek Outdoors TV show, and general layout and scenic photos are available on our regular lodge site @ andersenislandlodge
Located on a small island at the end of Sheep Bay, you will wake up every morning to another new scenic mural. As you sip your morning coffee on the deck, you enjoy the vistas of the 150' waterfall across the bay, the shimmering blue ice glacier in the mountains ahead, and the tranquil quiet waters below, where seals, sea lions, sea otters, eagles, and the occasional orca and humpback whale frolic.
Our area has different runs of salmon all summer, including: sockeye (reds), pink ( humpies) and coho (silvers). Also, within a mile of the island you have great halibut, rockfish, and cod fishing and even shrimping and clamming.

Cordova is world reknown as a sportsman's paradise for a good reason. With no roads leading into town, you can only reach it by air or water, elimiating the masses of tourists, buses, motor homes, and traffic found in other areas of Alaska. Yet, it is only a 30 minute flight from Anchorage on jet aircraft, or a beautiful three hour ferry ride from Whittier.
Cordova is nestled at the base of the Chugach Mountains, tucked between Eyak Lake and Prince William Sound,
with fishing ( some of the best salmon/halibut fishing in the world), hunting, hiking, kayaking, clamming, marine and terrestial wildlife viewing, the stunning Childs Glacier, Shorebird festival in the spring, winter downhill ski hill with chairlift...all for you to enjoy at any time of the year.
