Description of the Corolla vacation condo rental
Families or couples are welcome at "Lagniappe", an immaculate, beautifully decorated condominium in Corolla, home of one of the widest beaches on the entire Outer Banks. Wake up to sunshine and warm weather, breathe in the salt air, and adjust to a slower pace as you relax on the front porch swing. In the evenings enjoy the sunset as you stroll along the sound-front walkway, grill up some fresh seafood, or treat yourself to dinner at one of numerous nearby restaurants.
A kitchen, dining area, and living room, complete with first-rate entertainment system and 250+ DVD library, make up the main living area. One queen bedroom and another with twin beds and sliding glass door share a full bath. From its own private deck, the spacious master bedroom has peaceful views across the neighborhood pond. A luxurious master bath, Jacuzzi, and pillow-top queen bed will pamper you at the end of a long day in the sun; be sure to click on the link below to take a virtual tour.
Beach access is a short 2 ½ block walk, or if you prefer, the shuttle will drop you off at the Corolla Light ocean-front complex with its three fresh water pools. Better yet, if you have four-wheel drive, simply throw your chairs, umbrella, and cooler in the back, head north for a mile and a half on Rt. 12, and drive right out onto the beach - you might even see some of the famous wild horses!
Just across the street is the Corolla Light Sports Center, complete with indoor/outdoor clay tennis courts, 25-meter heated pool, spa, aerobics room, fitness/cardio room, weight room, and racquetball court. Membership is automatically included as part of your stay.
Local attractions include the Whalehead Club, a restored 21,000-square-foot hunt club open daily for tours. The Currituck Beach Lighthouse is one of only 3 lighthouses on the Outer Banks open for climbing, and the newly-opened Wildlife Education Center features an exhibit hall, auditorium, waterfowl decoy gallery, and numerous activities throughout the week. All are within easy walking distance. Local bait shops will be happy to organize whatever type of fishing trip you desire, and golfers will enjoy the acclaimed Rees Jones designed course at the Currituck Club, less than five miles away. Surfers are in luck too; many area shops offer rentals as well as lessons. The Wright Brothers Memorial and Museum and the famous Jockey's Ridge in Kitty Hawk are only 30 miles south.

Mirage Condominiums are part of Corolla Light Resort Village, which has by far the best package of amenities of any neighborhood on the northern Outer Banks: an ocean front complex with 3 pools, basketball courts, and playground. A comprehensive sports center with indoor pool; a separate sound-front pool, and Corolla Light is the *only* community that has preserved access to its entire sound front property line with a path for walking and biking, plus several public piers and gazebos.
