This House Rents SUNDAY to SUNDAY. Please Go To The Last Page To "EXTERNAL LINKS" And Check Out Our New Video. "THE MARK TWAIN" Is A Spectacular 18 Bedroom Ocean Front Home. It's located in the quaint little town of Corolla. It's remote location makes it the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation without all the hustle and bussel common with most coastal vacation spots. It's about 1.75 miles off the hard surface road, so you WILL NEED A FOUR WHEEL DRIVE to get to the house. Please understand this, because you cannot get to this house without one. Many people rent Jeeps or other 4X4's if they don't already own one. Remote parking is available, but limited to availability.

Huge Viking & Kitchen-Aid Commercial Type Kitchen. All counters are high end granite with beautiful rustic Kitchen Cabinets. Table seating for 30 with another 10 at the bar.
Clear Ice-Machine & Two Dishwashers. Large Built-In Refrigerator, Microwave and Deep Double Farm Sink.

Two Steps up to the Event Area: Stage with Yamaha Grand Piano, PA System & Mic. Step down to large open area where furniture can easily be moved to accommodate your needs.

Also open to this area is a TV View Area with two Chatting Areas on either side. The Built in 42" Plasma TV has two sub-woofers and a High Powered Yamaha Amplifier System. All this is set into an Over-sized All Marble & Tumbled Stone Fireplace.

Also open to this area is a Granite Wet Bar which also houses the PA-System's Amplifier. It includes a Sink and a Kitchen-Aid Clear Ice Maker.

Go through the double door opening and you'll find all sorts of Exercise Equipment. You won't have to give up your workout routine while vacationing here at The Mark Twain. The Solo-Flex Universal Exercise Equipment along with the Jogging Machine and StairMaster will allow you to maintain that superb body you left home with!

Large Wrap Around Covered Porches on Two Levels. This is a 12,000sf house, so there is plenty of room for all our guests. There is a huge pool with attached bathroom, changing room and a terrific bar area. There is a Private 300' raised boardwalk to the Gazebo that sits atop a grand dune overlooking the Great Atlantic. There are no houses to block your Ocean or Sound Views.

Wild Horses roam the 3.5 Acre Estate. and if you get up before 9am, you will likely see them as they graze. One of the highest dunes in all of North Carolina is only a few steps out of the front door. The kids will run, play and have a ball. If you join them you can see for miles and miles once you're atop this famous land mark.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities

Most of the really good restaurants are only 4-6 miles from the house. There is plenty of shopping nearby and the Corolla Lighthouse is within site of the house. There is a Museum within a couple hundred feet of the lighthouse which is also very interesting for the local history of the area.
