Description of the Corolla vacation home rental

Come experience the magic of the Outer Banks at Ocean's Grace, Whalehead Beach, Corolla. Enjoy the ocean breezes, the sight and sound of the surf and the view of the Currituck Lighthouse from the wide wrap around decks. Ocean's Grace is conveniently located 200 feet from a public beach access, so you'll be only a few steps away from one of USA Today's Top Ten Beaches. Eight bedrooms sleep 20-22 guests, including four king sized beds, a queen, 2 twins and bunk beds for the kids.
When you're not on the beach, Ocean's Grace has plenty of ways to relax. Downstairs near the pool, the rec room has a wet bar with full size fridge and a microwave, a pool table and a foosball table. Upstairs, the great room has a gas fireplace, a big wide screen TV with DVD player, and beautiful ocean views. Grab a book from the many offered, put your feet up, sit back, and enjoy the good life. Keeping cool is easy here, with central air conditioning or plenty of windows to let in the cool ocean breeze.
Should you ever feel the need to remind yourself that there's still a busy world outside of tranquil Whalehead Beach in Corolla, there is both cable television and wireless internet.
If you love to cook, you'll enjoy preparing meals for the family in the gourmet kitchen that also overlooks the ocean. Both gas and charcoal grills supplement the kitchen with just about anything you could need to prepare and serve your culinary creations. There's plenty of space in the dining room to seat the family at two tables, and after dinner, two dishwashers make sure nobody gets stuck with washing the service for 22 by hand.
Outside, the cottage has a private swimming pool and jacuzzi, pool heated upon request. Surrounding the pool you'll find plenty of lounge chairs to lay back in and enjoy that relaxing OBX experience you came for. The back yard has a volleyball net to entertain those interested in a friendly game and there is a basket ball hoop off the front drive for any desiring a game of hoops. If you'd like to explore the area a bit, there are a few bikes available for your pleasure. The three levels of decks are home to a number of comfortable deck chairs and even have a hammock and a porch swing.
Ocean's Grace is pet friendly! Pets are allowed in the cottage, though we do have to ask that your furry friends stay out of the pool and hot tub.
At night your family retires to eight tastefully decorated, inviting bedrooms with good quality mattresses and your choice of feather or poly pillows. Five of the bedrooms are master suites, including four with king beds and one with twin beds. The kids will love the two nautical themed bunk rooms. One of the king master suites has a private deck. Four bedrooms open out onto the main deck that wraps around the house and provides access to the pool and hot tub, or up to the roof deck for spectacular star gazing.
Ocean's Grace is rented to family groups only and we do ask that you do not smoke in the house.
Be sure to visit the beautiful Old Village of Corolla, the Currituck Lighthouse and the Whalehead Hunting Club. All within a two mile radius. Bicycles are available to enjoy the area. A 4-wheel drive vehicle will allow you to explore the north end of the beach where you will find an old shipwreck and are sure to see some of the wild ponies the area is noted for. Area activities include go-karts, kayaking, sailing, fishing, para sailing, wind surfing, paddle boats, golf, shopping, Movies and some really great seafood dining. An hour's drive will take you to historic Roanoke Island where you can enjoy the outdoor drama 'The Lost Colony.' On your way to the Island, stop and climb Jockey Ridge, one of the tallest sand dunes in the United States and visit the Wright Brothers National Memorial, and walk the path of the first flight. And always, there is the sight and sound of the Atlantic Ocean.
Golf Destination: Kilmarlic, 6500 yard par 72 PGA Championship course; The Carolina Club, 7000 yard par 72, bent grass greens; Currituck Club, GPS positioning system, some of the most scenic greens along the Currituck sound you could imagine; Duck Woods, oldest course on the Outer Banks opened in 1969 and is in major expansion, 24,000 square foot clubhouse, 65 seat bistro, 2200 square foot fitness center; Nags Head Golf Links boasts the longest 6100 yards a golfer will ever play.

If you are looking for a home that will serve as an ideal family reunion spot, this one will fit your needs. Nineteen of us with 10 adults and 9 children ranging in ages of 14 months to 18 years old enjoyed the close proximity to the beach as well as having access to the pool when the afternoon temperatures grew warm. The very open and large kitchen was another important factor when it came to preparing meals for everyone. And we all enjoyed our volleyball games in the evening. All in all, we are certain that this home will fill the needs of any large group and all will come away with pleasant memories.

Hard to add anything better than what has already been said but I will try. This home was a grace, indeed, to our family of 19, ranging from three one year olds to the 79 year old great-grandmother, who bunked in (by choice) with the girls age 4, 5 and 8. This was our third year at the Outer Banks, and our third different house and neighborhood. I spent a lot of time, as I do every year, finding a great house that met all our needs. Shopping and cute shops are close by but we did not find them--too perfect to just hang out at the house, the pool and the beach together. Huge open space in the greatroom. The house is perfect for a large family group. We loved the short walk to the beach--that's important to us. And the view. I have stayed in more glamorous houses, but Oceans Grace is lovingly decorated with lots of carefree nautical-themed stuff, and great attention to detail, yet furnishings feel comfortable and "lived in" in a good way, not sterile or overly fragile--very comfortable and easy care. You feel as if the owners have welcomed you personally. The cupboards are filled with videos, books, games, and puzzles to satisfy a wide range of tastes and ages. We can't recommend a restaurant--we took turns cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoyed every meal at the largest dining table I have ever seen outside of the Biltmore! The beach fills up mid day but feels family oriented, with lots of grand sand castles built by parents and children together. By late afternoon it's deserted. We did not play volleyball in the yard but we sure enjoyed the hammocks and the great breeze--even in August! And the hot tub, of course. The pool is relatively large, as OBX house pools go, and owners provide loads of toddler and child pool and beach stuff and more than a dozen beach chairs. Adventure seekers can rent a kayak for the week and enjoy the waves, or drive 5 minutes to the jeep rental to hot rod around the northern beaches. The only drawback, if there is one, is the lack of elevator. Have fun if you go! We hated to leave.

This is a great place for a family vacation. Owners have thought of everything to make your stay great---from pool table and foosball in the rec rm to baby gates and toddler furniture upstairs. House is beautifully decorated and immaculate and has all the extras you can think of to make your stay a great experience. Gorgeous view of the ocean just across the street from the upper level. Private heated pool and hot tub are just the icing on the cake! I would definitely recommend this house to my friends.
