Amazing spot. I really enjoyed staying here. The house is clean and so cosy. It was still a little cold when I went but I really enjoyed my time there. Everything is pretty close to the property so you can pretty much walk to the grocery store (Harry's Teeter). The house has an amazing Disney movie collection that we watched while we stayed there. It really is a great spot for a family vacation and to get away from everything. Definitely coming back again. Maybe I'll make this a heart tradition?

Our family recently stayed here and it was perfect! Great location with a short walk to the beach. Very quiet and peaceful. The view from the upstairs balcony was breathtaking, especially at sunrise. You can hear the waves from the deck. The house is beautiful and cozy. We felt right at home. So much provided to make our stay easy. Our kids had a blast! We rented a jeep and took a wild horse tour and it was amazing. The Currituck lighthouse is beautiful. And we visited the aquarium on Roanoke Island. Lots of fun. Great time for shopping, most of the stores had a preseason sale and most things were 50% off. We were able to get lots souvenirs. Glenn is very easy to work with and very prompt. He provided lots of information on things to do. It was extremely helpful with being our first time to the Outer Banks. We cannot wait to go back!

We rented this place in April for a long weekend right before things start to pick up in the Outer Banks. The house is really nice and set up very well for family or friends with lots of rooms and plenty of space for everyone. Close to the beach and conveniently located to groceries, shopping and restaurants. We would definitely book here again.

We are adopting three sister and they had never seen the ocean. I could never have ask for a more perfect place for them to experience such beauty. The house was clean, spacious, and the property manager was so helpful and informative. Couldn't have ask for a better week at the beach and the outerbanks are spectacular. I was worried that we would have to travel to do any shopping but the shops in Duck had really great, interesting, and unique. Last but not least I have had dreams about Duck donuts since I have been home. I recommend this property and the management to anyone. Thanks Mr Kelly for an unforgettable spring break.

I rented this property for the month of October, and had a wonderful time! The weather was terrific until the very end, and this is such an enjoyable beach house....I would just slip on my flip flops, and walk a couple minutes to the beach. I was often the only one on the beach...and felt very spoiled! The beach goes on forever, and is so beautiful. The house's digs are very comfy. I had several friends come to town to visit during the month, and it was fun to havve 4 other bedrooms for my guests. Each bedroom has comfy beds, and fun decor. The downstairs is just perfect for relaxing with friends and family. There is a very comfortable couch set in the family room, and the adjoining kitchen with a big counter and stools make it flow from one space to the next with plenty of seating for all.. Lastly, the adjoining dining room seats all your family and friends at formal meal times in a casual, beachy style. The screen porch was great for leaving our beach finds, and other items we didn't want to drag into the house. The laundry room is very convenient also. I would just pop the beach towels in as we returned from our swims. The deck is so spacious and fun...we were able to witness many sunsets while sipping wine and noshing on cheese and crackers while sitting in the various lounge chairs. Just beautiful and peaceful! One of my favorite areas was the small patio off the master bedroom, and also accessible from a guest bedroom. I would meet my girlfriends "up top" for a view of the ocean, and another glass of evening wine, or sometimes I'd go out there for my morning coffee and some reflective time. There's nothing like the view and sound of the waves to calm and soothe the soul! I had a spectacular month at Kelly's Beach Retreat, and highly recommend a stay there to anyone who feels harried and needs a bit of r and r!! I plan to return next October, to enjoy it all over again!

Three families meet for a reunion at this clean, well maintained and well equipped home near the ocean. The kitchen is spacious with an eating area large enough for a big family. The big table is great for playing games in the evening. Each bedroom is comfortable and we especially liked the second floor deck off the bedrooms. The home has lovely decks to relax, sun, read and watch the wildlife. The beach is a short walk down a path. The beach is large and not crowded with a lifeguard on duty. This Truly is a home away from home with many amenities to make your stay comfortable.

Kelly's Beach Retreat provides an immaculate environment with all the amenities in a large kitchen to cook delicious meals and eat in the breakfast/dining room or on the porch overlooking the private forest & dunes in the backyard. Enjoy trips to the Wright Brothers Museum, dune rides to see many wild horses (29) and dining out with family and friends at local restaurants and shopping in Kitty Hawk & Nags Head. Thank you for making our rental experience so easy and affordable! Our time at Kelly's Beach Retreat was everything we had hoped for and more. Your home truly is family friendly! Our children had a blast with all the beach toys, boogie boards, sand and swings! They also enjoyed a nightly in-room movie before bed while the adults had some fun game time in the large kitchen. Corolla was beautiful, such a change from overly crowded beaches. We were slightly frightened of the fins being so close in the water until two amazing dolphins playfully and majestically jumped from the water! We could not have asked for a better vacation! Gammie and Pops love hosting our four children and four grandchildren here at Kelly’s Beach Retreat! You’ll feel right at home with the family-style picnic table in the kitchen nook that has surround windows. The living area has plenty of seating and floor space for the kids (and adult kids)! The bedrooms are the perfect size, and the master bedroom is filled with privacy and sunlight - yet open enough to invite the kids in with their sleeping bags! I loved the place it was a great house and had everything you need for a grand vacation. We really had a great time. The house is out of the way, quiet and very close to the beach. We had the week Irene hit the Outer Banks. Glenn was in constant contact with us with a delayed Tuesday arrival. His free hurricane insurance was just that as he extented our stay one day and refunded the day we lost. He delivered as advertised. The house weathered Irene nicely and allowed for an enjoyable stay. We have been with Glenn 4 or 5 times and will return again hopefully without the weather dramas.

The Kelly Retreat is everything that Glenn said...the home is beautifully maintained with large spacious rooms. It has two screened in porches and a porch to sit and watch the deer and wild life walk by while you are reading your summer book. We only went out to eat once as the grill was outside and after swimming all you really wanted to do was rest and relax. The beach is a short walk from the house on a sandy path and up stairs and down just like you imagine on all the pictures you see of the Outer Banks homes being set back on higher elevation. If all is quiet you can hear the waves from the back porch. There was a shower and several hoses for washing the sand off you where the little one's showered and then swung on the swings. The big screen TV worked perfectly with all stations any one would want if you want to watch TV in such a beautiful place as this. Mr. Kelly was very easy to work with and was easy to get a hold of in setting up payments etc. I would have another family reunion there in a second and hope that other family's get to enjoy this retreat as much as my family did. There is nothing I would rather do than mellow out in the Outer Banks at the The Kelly Retreat.

Kelly's Beach Retreat is a good choice for those wishing to get away from the commercialism we have all grown wearily accustomed to. The home offered every comfort you could wish for...no daily "maid service" to plan around... A true home away from home with the beach nearby. Appreciated the fact that there was a handy wagon for "shlepping" toys, chairs, coolers, etc to the beach. Granddaughter loved the swings just outside of the laundry room. Will definitely be visiting again!

This was our first stay at Kelly's Beach House. The owner was so wonderful to work with. He gave us all the information we would ever need and when I did have questions, he was prompt to reply. The house was large, spacious and very well taken care of. Our family and dogs had a wonderful time!!

Kelly's Beach Retreat provided a very comfortable place to call home for our OBX vacation....clean, private, great location in a quiet neighborhood setting, short walk to the beach...SO glad we chose this over a hotel stay...much more relaxing! Will visit again! Consider visiting Lighthouse Bagels during your stay for wonderful sandwiches and gelato! Nearby Harris Teeter store also was very convenient!

You have all the amenities you will need for your stay at Kelly's Beach Retreat it's like your home away from home. This was my second time staying at the Kelly's beach house. Each time I come back I find a new place to check out. The first time I was there I went to Jockey's Ridge and this time went to the Currituck Lighthouse. I look forward to coming back in April and discovering yet another new place. I highly recommend this house. What I love most is the big table in the dining area. It was able to hold 10 people for an evening meal. It was nice to eat our pre-race meal and relax.

The house was great, good communication with renters. Nice area, close to beach. Drove to the popular Nag's Head area...i like the beach near the house better. Great weather and not very crowded in Sept. Would rent again.

We are a group of friends who started coming to the OBX over 25 years ago and we stayed at Kelly's Beach Retreat for 3 nights. It was wonderful. The cottage is large, clean and in a quiet location, but not too far from shopping and restaurants. We were very pleased with the cost. Another great feature was the late check-out time on Sunday so we didn't have to pack and leave in a rush. Glenn Kelly was very helpful and easy to contact by e-mail or phone. We are planning to return in the spring.

Another great vacation at the Outer Banks and Kelly's Beach Retreat! The house is a great location, only a short walk to the beach with views of the sunrise and sunset. It is in an area of private homes with beach access-no hotels or public beach access. The house is well furnished and has a large kitchen as well as large area with comfortable furniture for relaxing. We particularly enjoy the option to eat inside with A/C or on the screened porch. Both have a large table that easily accomodates 8. There is a large deck with comfortable furniture for those times you aren't at the beach. The Harris Teeter is less than 1 mile away and there are lots of shops and restaurants in the Corolla area. This was our fourth year and we'll definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay at Kelly's Beach Retreat more than any other OBX vacation. The house is well-furnished (brand new leather sofas in LR, for example) and very comfortable overall. The rooms are large, open, full of light. On days you can't get to the beach, you'd have a great place to hang out at the house. The owners are super to work with; they provide much more detail and helpful tips about the house and OBX area than any other owners we've encountered. This rental is an all-round winner!

My family and I recently stayed at Kellys Beach Retreat, and our stay was fabulous. The house was very inviting and it had all the comforts of home! I was alittle apprehensive at first with it not being ocean front, but the walk to beach was easy, simple and even my 2 year old had no problems with it! My family and I come to the OBX every year, and we have definatly found our new vacation rental home. We will be back again next year, thanks for a great week!!

This is my first experience in Corolla, NC and the Kelly's Beach Retreat is in OBX PRIME location. Mr. Kelly was outstanding to work with, and the house was extremely large with all sorts of ammentities included. You honestly only have to put food in the fridge, linens for the beds and swim suits for the beach which is a hop, skip and jump away. I would highly recommend this rental property during any month of the year.

Wow all time record high temperatures for April and a great place to stay made for one of the best weeks our families have ever had. The house was immaculate and has everything you need for a great week. The beach chairs and sand cart were a great help in getting us off each day to the BEAUTIFUL BEACH. Outside shower and faucets were great and the rooms were very comfortable. I hope someday to come back here and relive this past week. Thanks again for letting us stay at your beautiful home.

My husband and I had a nice five days at Kelly's Beach Retreat with our Australian shepherd. It was great to walk to the beach a few times a day and enjoy the sun on Kelly's large deck where you can hear the waves. Plenty of nice lounge chairs added to the enjoyment. The kitchen had everything we needed, (pots, dishes, utensils, etc.) plus lots of dining space. Plenty of TV's and the wireless Internet worked great. The proximity to nice grocery stores and shops is excellent, no time wasted driving around. The owner, Glenn, was a pleasure to deal with,efficient with no realtors involved!

This was our third year at the house and once again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accomodations are great and we feel like we are at home. The walk to the beach is short and the beach is not crowded. The deck is our favorite spot to sit and enjoy the evening after a day in the sun or visiting the nearby lighthouses.

Kelly's Beach Retreat offers a very reasonably priced 5 bedroom home with nice features, private views and a short walk to the ocean. Our family also enjoyed the spacious eating area and large deck in the rear of the house. A great place to stay with close proximity to lots of attractions.

Just got back from Corolla and our stay at Kelly's Beach Retreat. This was our first time to the Outer Banks and it could not have been better. Property is great - clean and well-appointed. Very short walk to the beach, very quiet neighborhood, close to shops and restaurants. We are planning to go again next year!
