Wonderful family reunion spot

I have stayed in this house more than once. With 9 bedrooms and lots of seating and activity areas, this house is tailor made for a family reunion. Everyone can be together in the great room on the top level or you can spead out in all the great little nooks in this house. I love the small sitting room in a split level at the top of the house for reading and my morning yoga practice. The crows nest on top of the house is great for star gazing. We always bring our bikes and ride to the Corolla lighthouse daily. The neighborhood has long quiet streets that run parallel to the beach that are great for biking, jogging and walking. The North Carolina pulled pork at the stand by the lighthouse is a must for all visitors. Route 12 Restaurant, in the TimBuck II shopping center, has wonderful service, delicious food and a great value.

My friends and I stayed at this house in early November. The house is conveniently located--only a mile or so away from the grocery store, shops, and restaurants. The house itself is HUGE with tons of bedrooms. Some other highlights of the house include a convenient wet bar in the basement, an outdoor tiki bar with a stereo system, and wrap around decks on each level. Since it was November, we did not use the pool but the hot tub was great! Additionally, the house was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen was very spacious and well stocked with kitchenware. For the colder days, the foozball and pool tables got plenty of use. On the warmer days, we walked down to the beach which was only a couple minutes walk away. You can also see beautiful views of the beach from the houses' crows nest. Overall, we really enjoyed this house and its amenities. We will definitely book this house again next time we go down to OBX!

Awesome Family Vacation Spot

I had never experienced the outer banks before, and had a fantastic experience here at Terrapin Station! I brought my family and my Aunt's family here for a special vacation and was absolutely thrilled with the accommodations. In addition to my parents, I have 4 siblings and there are 4 people in my Aunt's family as well. All 11 people were quite comfortable and had plenty of space in this enormous house (very important for large families) with room to spare. We used the volleyball court, horseshoe pit, and swimming pool daily. The Crow's next provided phenomenal sunrise/sunset views every day and we had plenty of beach time since it's just a short, 5 minute walk to the ocean from the house. The only day it rained we stayed indoors where my uncle demonstrated his New York City upbringing masterfully on the pool table. We even brought our Wii which was easily hooked up to the television. We opted to cook dinners for each other rather than go out to restaurants and so at night, we would pair off, and 2 different people would prepare the meal. In Food Network Showdown style, everyone tested the limits of their culinary abilities, and we found everything we needed in the huge kitchen for the production. We are definitely going to come back in the future.

We had a great time. The home is located in a perfect spot. Walking distance to beach and shopping. Few minor things like the internet not working till the middle of the week, a leaky pool, and very low shower pressure were the only thing that kept it from being 5 stars. We most likely will return.

Terrapin Landing was very well equipped. Our group of 10 adults and 6 small kids was very comfortable. The pool was a great place to kick back and relax and listen to your favorite tunes. The best part was it was only a short walk to the beach. We will stay here again next year.

Our Family Vacation At The Outer Banks Terrapin Station Home. We were very excited to spend a week in the Outer Banks and were not disappointed upon arrival. Our group of 9 adults and 3 children were very comfortable in the home. It was roomy and full of lovely areas for everyone to be together or sneak away to read a book. We all enjoyed the multiple levels of decking and the fun crow's nest with the amazing views. The breakfast nook was the place we spent alot of time doing jigsaw puzzles and playing games. Thanks to the additional large dining room table and kitchen island, we were able to leave them laying out. Speaking of games, the game room with the pool table was awesome! We really loved the radio that was connected to the speakers outside. Nothing can beat floating on a raft listening to your favorite tunes! By far, the biggest hit for everyone was the pool! We used it everyday without fail. It was very short and convenient walk from the house to the beach. We spent mornings there, came home for lunch, and spent afternoons in the pool. The hot tub and volleyball court were also wonderful amenities. There was alot of night time soaking and relaxing! The outdoor facilities were also very convenient especially with small children. The entire family had such a wonderful time we are planning to return for another week this year. Overall, this was a very enjoyable vacation home with a boat load of extra's.
