Area Description
Cozumel is a diving and snorkling paradise with great beaches and lots of opportunities for outdoor activities: golf, fishing, biking, horseback riding, sailing, watersports etc. Downtown has good shoping oportunities for jewellery, ceramics, leather goods and Mexican art. Cozumel is a popular cruise ship port, and cruise passagers keep the downtown area lively and fun during the week. East side of the island is less touristic with pristine beaches, historic lighthouses and Mayan ruins.
