Description of the Craftsbury vacation home rental

Darling house- 3 bdrm, 2.5 bath-in a private rural setting. Nestled under mature maple trees and looking onto expansive perennial beds, enjoy your stay for a night, a week or month. The charming house has one queen bed, one full bed, one twin bed, a day bed, and a full size futon. The detached shed provides two covered parking bays and outside storage. On a dead end road between Greensboro and Craftsbury VT you are within seven miles of multiple lakes for swimming or kayaking and two Nordic ski areas. Four Alpine ski areas are within 1 hr to 1:15 hr drives. Enjoy kayaking and mountain biking in the summer and skiing or snowshoeing in the winter. Easy access to VAST trails. Experience the many cultural and shopping opportunities in the area or just relax on the wrap around porch and enjoy the seclusion of this location. A wonderful area for children and pets, or quiet privacy.

Area Description

Located in the Northeast Kingdom, Craftsbury is a picturesque Vermont country town with rolling hills, white picket fences and family run dairy farms. The town of Craftsbury includes Craftsbury Common, Craftsbury Village, East Craftsbury, Collinsville and Mill Village.

Cross-country skiing and snowmobiling is enjoyed in the winter, maple sugaring in the spring, Farmer's Markets and music concerts on the Common in the summer, in addition to breathtaking foliage in the fall. The tradional Old Home Day in August with games and a parade is a highlight of the summer.

Beautiful property!, October 13, 2009

Wonderful house located in the gorgeous Vermont countryside. Rolling hills, picturesque towns, amazing fall colors. The house was absolutely perfect for our small family, though it could definitely accommodate many more people. Our dog LOVED running around the large yard, and the baby had a great time exploring the house. The Calderwoods provided us with tasty samples of their maple syrup and maple cream, and made great hiking recommendations. We're already talking about when we can go back!

We had a nearly perfect vacation staying at Victoria's. We are from Texas and had never been to Vermont. The owner, Louise, went out of her way to research activities, made recommendations on restaurants, provided toys for my daughters, provided extra supplies we needed, etc. She even took my two young daughters on a tour of the farm on the property, much to their delight. Victoria's itself is clean and comfortable, on a remote hill, with very beautiful grounds and a big yard for kids to run around in. This area of Vermont is really spectacular, quite mountainous and sparsely populated. Great memorable location, house, and hostess, thanks Louise!

This cottage is perfect, perfect, perfect. Spotlessly clean, spacious with 3 bedrooms and a bath upstairs, and futon plus daybed and bath downstairs, so plenty of sleeping choices. Kitchen and dining area were well-appointed. Nice porch and side deck, beautiful perennial beds and wooded setting. The host, Louise, is extremely helpful and responsive to any needs you may have. Price is unbelievably economical. Can't wait to return. Perfect for weddings, family vacation (lots of sleeping space, plus more space in finished basement). Secluded, quiet, private. Highly recommended.
