The property sits on almost 1/3 flat acre parcel with some of the best mountain views on the ridge. This area has local wildlife and has an excellent location with easy access year round, less than 1 mile from the state highway and the center of town. Drive time is only 75 minutes from Irvine or 85 minutes from Downtown Los Angeles.

This beautiful 3 story 4,000+ square foot mountain view home has 4 private bedrooms and 4 baths. Wood floors in living room den and loft, tile in kitchen and bathrooms, and carpet in the bedrooms. There are 3 fireplaces, a loft, living room and den, also a game room in the basement with a, pool table. There is a large deck off of the kitchen with patio furniture perfect for afternoon sunsets and group dinners and there are 3 additional balconies. There is a CD library of over 600 titles with small stereos in the bedrooms and game room. Televisions are located in the living room (with cable/tivo), both master bedrooms, and the basement. DVD/VHS movie library has over 300 titles.

THINGS TO DO on the mountain are both recreation and vacation oriented. Shopping and restaurants are close by, Antique stores are great, horseback riding stables are within 2 miles, Lake Gregory is 2 miles (water slides, swimming, kayaking and fishing). National Forest has hiking trails less than .5 miles from the house. Lake Arrowhead is 10 minutes away with ice skating, movie theaters, great shopping and art galleries. We have a large binder full of activities and immenities on the mountain for you to explore. Games include: pool table, air hockey, darts, lots of board games, horse shoes, and more...

SNOW SEASON runs from about Thanksgiving until March depending on the year.. the house is at 5500' elevation and typically gets about 5 feet of snow per season. The lot has an excellent slope for sledding with little kids and older kids may walk up the road to a great sledding location at the hangglider launch point. Snow Valley is the closest ski resort accessed by major mountain roads and is 17 miles distance. Very good cross country skiing is found on old service roads at the end of the street about 1 mile from the house - there are few sets of cross country skis boots, poles etc available at the house to use. We also have some sleds and disks at the house for the kids.

SUMMER is terrific in the Crestline area. Lake Gregory is 2 miles from the house and has waterslides, a public beach, paddle boards, fishing and kayaking. The average summer daytime tempurature is between 80 - 90 degrees from June through September with clear skies and gentle breezes. 4x4 roads for ATV's and backwoods exploring are abundant. There is great hiking trails and Deep Creek hotsprings near by. Summer is great fun on the mountain and the area has over 300 days of sunshine!

Our family meets every year for Christmas in the mountains, and this home was within walking distance of the home that our Grandma used to live in! This home was definitely big enough for all of us, but the only down fall was the game room and the basement. Alot of the games were broken or missing pieces, if you want to sleep down there, you will need ear plugs because of the noise from the ceiling above, there were a lot of bugs, it was dark and the outside area needs alot of gardening. But heah, you can not beat the view!
