Description of the Crystal Falls vacation cabin rental

Located on beautiful Swan Lake five miles north of Crystal Falls. Cabin is on eastern shore of lake and affords beautiful sunset veiws. When conditions are right the Northern Lights cast a beautiful display and shooting stars are not uncommon! Property has privacy of a single family home with a nice lawn. All facilities are for the private use of the guests. Dock, frontage, fire ring etc.. Two Bedrooms and a loft. Sleeps up to seven people. Built in 1995. Full size refrigerator, newer propane cook stove, propane heat. Pots and pans, dishes, coffee pot, toaster, microwave. Bedding provided. Twelve foot aluminum boat comes with rental. New dock built in 2008 with plenty of space for guests to bring their own boat. Good swimming site off dock.

Area Information

Swan Lake is a 165 acre lake located 51/2 miles north of Crystal Falls in Iron County.

Fishing on Swan Lake is very good! The DNR did a study on our fish population in spring of 2011 and found good numbers for walleye. There are perch, crappie, bass and northern as well.

Beautiful atv, canoe and hiking trails are nearby as well as white water rafting.. Bond, Agate and Canyon Falls are a short drive away. Day trips to Copper Harbor, Marquette and other fun destinations are very doable!

Excellent hunting! There is lots of state forest land and cfr forest land nearby.

Swan's Hill Cabin offers more privacy than many of the other properties. It is not a resort so it's peaceful. It also faces the west so one can view some pretty spectacular sunsets.

The Sunsets wildlife are amazing...

Clean and quiet, beautiful, country charm with all you'ld expect. Eagles and deer are everywhere you turn, a fox or 2 and when I return I'll be waiting for that elusive moose! I did not expect the water to be as warm so clean you can see clear down to the bottom. An avid birder the wide range of species was a delight. Can't wait to get out of the heat of Florida and up to the cool comfort again in 2013.

Thanks Cathy and Ernie! The moose was spotted recently up across the highway about 3/4 of a mile from here. Last year it was seen on my neighbor's property just up the road! Looking forward to seeing you this summer!

Just the way we like it

Quiet a bit out of the way but just how we like it. We have hunted in Crystal Falls for over 20 years. Started out camping and as we got older we moved up to a cabin to rent. We found it at Swan Lake. Patricia has been very good to us and we would recommend staying there if you enjoy the out of doors without being bothered.

Nothing like peace and quiet!

For us city folks the peace and quiet and natures beauty of this waterfront cabin was wonderful. We were comfortable and cozy. The cabin had everything we needed and Ms Ashcraft couldn't have been nicer. You might want to bring a cd player for long rainy nights--no tv reception. Hubby caught 22" walleye!

My hunting group rented this cabin for 7 seasons. Close to great public Deer hunting grounds. The town of Crystal Falls offers restaurants and a full scale grocery store, which you don't find in many cases in the U.P. of MI. Pat is a great host and takes good care of her guests.
