2012 Crystal River Family Vacation

We had an amazing stay at the property. Dan, the home owner was readily available at all times and a pleasure to deal with while setting up the trip. We shared the home with a friend and his family, which was a perfect fit and had one of the best family vacations to date. The dockage was perfect to accomodate the two boats including a very nice ice machine which is a killer option for those who plan to boat, scallop, or fish the area. The home is located in a quiet and vey safe neighborhood just minutes from town. The inside is decorated and furnished very nicely with all the amenities needed to just pack a bag and show up ready to relax. While there for the week we visited several of the local restaurants and visited two of the many State Parks within the area. Check out Weekee Wachee (spelling?) (Mermaids and four big water slides that dump you directly into a natural spring) and Homassasa State Park (Zoo type park with all the native Fla. animals including feeding manatees and a Hippo). Both very different from each other but a great way to break up the week of boating for the kids. In addition the local crystal river springs are easily accessible by boat & just minutes from the house dock. The scalloping was easy and relaxing just a couple miles south of the cut. A day fishing trip off shore produced a limit of gag and red groupers mixed in with miscelaneous bottom fish. We had made the trip with a total of 21 people and nobody stayed in as nice a place as we did. This house will not be available for the same week next year :) THANK YOU DAN!!! Home away from Home

We had the best vacation ever. The house was beautiful and we felt at home as soon as we walked in. The house was very roomy and had all of the essentials that we needed! The pool was beautiful and the Florida room was our favorite. We sat on the back porch at some point everyday and enjoyed wildlife. The water was just feet from you and canoeing and kayaking was such a great time! Everything was just beautiful. Love, Love, Love the house! The neighbors were awesome and they both took us right under there wings and showed us around. There wasn't one thing to complain about.... everything was amazing. Our friends stayed right up the street so we had a great time being able to be close to them. We are definatley coming back. We visited 3 sisters springs which was absolutley amazing and also Kings spring and we also took a tubing trip down Rainbow river. There is just so much to do that we had trouble fitting it all in. The flea market was really cool too. We all got to get all the gifts for our family there at a decent price. The food was great, we visited Dan's clam stand, Crackers (the tiki bar), A tast of Philly, and Mr. King... all great choices. Thank you so much for leaving all the pamphlets and also the binder of all of the information. My favorite was all of the amazing wildlife that we got to see. From manatees, to dolphins, to otters, to pink flamingo's, and even our friend the aligator. We could not have asked for a better home to stay in, more friendly neighbors and amazing owners. Thank you again and we will be contacting you again for next year!

Relaxing Vacation

House was really nice.The master bedroom was away from other bedrooms so the kids didn't keep me up.Caught six fish from the dock and saw manitees.Spent lots of time by the pool,It has a covered porch with ceiling fans and soft glider chairs and couch. The pool was really nice too! Big enough for eight people at least.Really good grocery about 3 minutes from house. Would love to come back.

Beautiful decor inside. Home very comfortable for 6 people. Boat had double canopy for sun protection. Would recommend that you know the tides before planning your daily trips on the river. Home has large lania with clean pool facing the water and dock with nice back yard. Would recommend this home and plan to return.

This property was convienently located to everything we needed to make our vacation a success. (dive shop,marina,etc.) My daughter loved the pool, and fishing out your backdoor was nice. The house had everything inside that we needed was clean and roomy enough for 5 people. The only thing lacking to make the most of our stay would have been time. Oh well maybe next time we will actually get to use the Kayaks.

We enjoyed the home, boat and location. We saw manatee, dolphin, and an aligator. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and close other activities. Would highly recommend and we can't wait until next year!
