Altitude of the property is 6000' in the Southern Black Hills. The weather is the best you can find in this area, and there are no poisonous snakes/plants within walking distance!

Very pleasant stay - the house was cozy and had everything to meet our needs - would have been nice to have a second bathroom, but we managed - the owners were gracious, helpful and accomodating - there was wildlife on the grounds every day - we enjoyed hiking the hills and exploring the grounds - somewhat remote, but we liked that aspect - would stay again.

Kiddville Was Fantastic We Loved It. Just A Short Hike Up The Hill To The Blackhill National Wildlife Area. This Location Is Perfect For Seeing The Sites It Is Within 20 To 30 Miles Of Just About Anything You Would Want To Do In The Hills. Scenary Was Great There Were Deer In The Yard Everyday In The Moring And Then Again In The Evening. If You Want The Black Hills Experience Then Rent This House. Jerry, maryann, dale & Niki

This is the second year in a row that we rented this home. It is the best place in all of the Black Hills to stay as far as I am concerned. Great location, cozy home supplied with everything you could possibly need. We will be going out again next year. Cannot wait!

We had such a nice time during our stay at Kiddville Ranch. The quiet and relaxation we experienced there was such a nice change from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Even though the days were a bit warm for sightseeing, the weather "back at the ranch" was perfect!! We will definitely be back, but will stay longer next time!!

This was exactly what we needed. Quiet, peaceful, and just absolutely beautiful. I can't express how grateful we are that Kay and her family were willing to convert their family homestead into a rental...and allow us to bring our dogs with us. Deer, bunnies, coyotes, and even a tough kitty came down every evening to say hi. We will definately be back (even though it is a 14 hour drive), but will stay longer next time. Can't say enough good things about the place and caretakers.

We stayed for one week in August. There were nine people in our party. The house was exactly what we were looking for: privacy, space, amenities. The kitchen is fully eqquiped, which allowed us to cook many meals. We were able to hike and explore without having to drive.

I am a granddaughter who came from MN every year to stay in this beautiful piece of property while my grandparents were still living. I am so appreciative of the fact that my wonderful relatives have taken on renting this beautiful place so that you too can enjoy the solitude this place has to offer besides all of the history on this piece of land and surrounding area. The abundance of deer and other wildlife roaming is awesome and a definite perk!! I highly recommend you stay at this 1895 Historic Charm.

My grandparents homesteaded this property in the 1920's. It is a cherished piece of our family that we wish to share. The history is fantastic, the house comfy, and the area beautiful! Though the home is completely modernized, it carries a rare peice of history with it! Tricia-owner
