Area Description

Property is surrounded by vacant woods, and nearby farms, wineries and vineyards in a Lumpkin County rural district affectionately called "Frogtown" for the occassional evening croaking symphonies following mountain rains. The front of the home faces an estimated 180 acres of pristine vacant forested PRIVATE land. Deer and wild turkey are abundant and an occassional visit from our resident black bear is not uncommon. Two creeks run through our property. One in the culvert below our road and the another larger one, a moderately strenuous hike away, at the NW corner of our property. Miles of nearby dirt roads make for great ATV trails and the region hosts motorcycle riders in search of beautiful winding mountain rides and local attractions. The Chattahoochee and Oconee National Forests are a short drive away.
