ADORABLE CABIN ON CHESTATEE RIVER
|Per night:||$130 - $150|
The cabin is truly great with a living room and fireplace, nice master bedroom with bath, cute kitchen with "Wolfe" stove, small dining area. You can literally fish off the deck! The setting is really serene and just sitting in the privacy of the porch and watching the river, deer frolicking and you might even see a bear come to take a quick bath! (One of the guests actually saw a bear bathing in the river at dusk!) You will LOVE this cabin.
Location is at the end of a dead end road, only woods directly across from the river and twenty minutes to the outlet mall if shopping is your thing.
Ten minutes to the delightful town of Dahlonega where you can shop, dine in over 20 restaurants, canoe down the river, hiking trails galore, horseback riding less than two miles. Stay for a weekend or come and hang out for a week! These locations are hard to find and you will love this beautiful "hideaway".
Only about 20 minutes to Blood Mountain, the beginning of the Appalachian Trail. Lot's of places to go in the area.

Reviews for this vacation cabin rental in Dahlonega, Georgia
September 30, 2014
This little cabin is adoreable and it is convientantly located just outside town. It sits on the banks of the Chestatee River and you can hear the sounds of the river cascading over the rocks while sitting on the large deck. There is plenty of outside room to relax and enjoy guests if you wish. Pet-friendly too.

Relaxing Dog-Friendly Cabin
September 25, 2014
The cabin was well maintained and clean. Very close to downtown Dahlonega and outdoor activities including trails (Lake Zwerner was great to walk the dogs. Shaded, 5K, moderate difficulty hike, 2h loop). We enjoyed sitting on the deck with the dogs overlooking and listening to the river. The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy a long, quite, relaxing weekend in Dahlonega for a wedding with our dogs. Pros: Close to area attractions, private, clean, dog-friendly Cons: Bring your own pillow (I don't know why I had such an issue, my husband didn't complain), no cable (was not an issue for us - cabin does have wifi and netflix), A/C (2 window units) could potentially be an issue in hotter months. If life takes us to Dahlonega again, we would not hesitate to stay at this cabin again.
SO glad you enjoyed the cabin and your stay in Dahlonega! I am a stickler about pillows, so I will definitely check them and do some "pillow" upgrading. We are also adding central air and heat in January when we close down for a month
to gear up...next time you come all will be completed.
Thanks so much for your great review and again, glad you had a good trip to Dahlonega.
Best to you!

Well Loved Cabin!!
June 10, 2014
Cabin is rustic, comfortable, well maintained, clean, private, peaceful. We fully enjoyed the weekend. Beautiful deck sitting over part of the river. Deck being my favorite!! Spend almost the entire weekend on the deck with my watercolors. You can hear the water falling over rocks. Very relaxing. At night all the different river night sounds lull you to sleep! Cabin only a little over an hour drive from Atlanta and easy to find. Can't wait to go back. Will most certainly be back in the fall for the leaf color changes, although hope to be able to get back before then. Painters paradise! If you are wanting to get away from it all and just chill, this is the place.
Angela...I bet you had some beautiful paintings! There is just something really special about sitting and just watching
the river go by and taking in nature. I have sat many mornings on the deck with a cup of coffee and knew I was having a
moment of pure joy! Thanks so much for your kind words and I hope that you will come back soon. The fall colors are
outstanding and another time of the year to enjoy the cabin and maybe a bond fire outside! Thanks again. Anita
Perfect mountain getaway

Enjoyed the cabin so much I booked another weekend in Oct., but hope to be back sooner! We came for the art festival in Dahlonega, but the peacefulness and beauty of the cabin is what made it perfect. The sound of the river and rain on the roof is so relaxing. It has everything you need - just bring groceries. Even the pullout sofa was comfortable. Loved that I was able to bring my dog. The area has just about everything - hiking, kayaking, festivals, wineries, and restaurants. We really enjoyed Crimson Moon for their organic coffee and live local music, and Turners Corner café for good food and friendly locals. Go - you won't regret it.
I think it is such a special place and love it so much when people like yourself enjoy the peacefulness and essence of the cabin. You picked a GREAT weekend to come back in October and it will be the peak of the fall season! Thanks so very much for your review and hope to see you in October!
Best to you!

Beautiful Vacation in spite of the Rain
December 24, 2013
My fiance and I took a vacation to Dahlonega for an early Thanksgiving/ pre boot camp date. Unfortunately, the entire time we were there, it was raining and freezing. However, thanks to the beautiful cabin and it's welcoming fireplace, we stayed delightfully warm and cozy. Michael and I had a wonderful time cooking our turkey and sipping cider while we watched movies on Netflix. Overall, this has been my favorite and most memorable vacation ever. We will definitely be back someday!

Best weekend Ever!!!
June 18, 2013
We had the best weekend that we have had in a long time. The cabin was everything and more. We caught 12 fish right off the deck. Ms.Anita was so nice to rent from. Cabin was clean well kept as was the yard. And really nice at night watching fireflies and listning to the river. We will rent this property again but longer. Thanks Ms.Anita.
Wonderful, cozy cabin!
June 7, 2013
My fiance and I had an amazing weekend here! The porch is, by far, the biggest perk- we didn't know true relaxation until we propped up our feet and watched the beautiful river below. I would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone that's looking for peace, quiet, and a nice break from reality. Ps- Anita was a huge help; what a great realtor!
Cozy, Comfortable Cabin
November 27, 2012
The cabin was as described, and very comfortable and clean. We stayed there three days/two nights, cooked several meals - all cookware, pots, pans, flatware, serving ware, dish towels, etc. were provided (although, we did bring our own chopping knives). Fireplace was nice and kept the place warm. The back balcony overlooks the stream, and has a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal), jacuzzi and seating. It is quite close to all of the vineyards, and has walking trails all around it. The bathroom was nice, good hot water and water pressure. The cabin is also pretty close to the town square if you are looking to eat out, shop, etc. Highly recommend!

Arriving on Nov 9th. we found the cabin to be what we expected. There was more than enough room for the two of us. The fact that it overhung the river made it wonderful. We would definitely consider returning to the same location, because of the location and the distance we needed to travel was very convent for us. Description of the convinces in the cabin said one mini Fridge and one full fridge. Only a mini was present, but it was enough. and the stove was a good bit to large for the kitchen. We would still give the stay at the cabin a thumbs up.
adorable cabin and surrounding area
October 13, 2012
Had a great relaxing time. the cabin had all the amenities of home. Owner made sure all needs were met. Will stay there again.
It really is adorable!

The house is just what it says: adorable! This cute little mountain home has a huge deck over the river, so you can fish right there while relaxing and taking in the views. We'll definitely be back.
November 29, 2011
We only drove three and a half hours to leave our noisy/hectic daily routine and arrive in a quiet and beautiful environment. The cabin was on the Chestatee River and at the end of a gravel road. The sound of the water was very relaxing. The cabin, though small was comfortable and the deck over the river was a great spot to fish, read, watch wildlife, etc. We had several good meals at local restaurants, in Dahlonega. There is hiking and other activities nearby.

Wonderful little cabin. I would recommend no more than 2 staying there since the bathrooom (although very large) is only accessible through the master bedroom. full kitchen, gas stove (nice).

Very peaceful, pirvate gettaway for two. Enjoyed stitting on the deck overlooking the river. A great place to unwind and reconnect!

Charming cabin-Great location- Ooh La La - there is a "wolf" in the kitchen. A hop & skip over to Dahlonega. How that place has changed since my youth! The Crimson Moon Cafe- yum yum. Our
daughter enjoyed the General Store, something a little different for a city kid. Speaking of things she enjoyed- we had waffles every morning (your waffle maker). Too cold to enjoy the deck, but next time. Thanks Anita!
"And the heavens declare the glory" SO great to see the stars! Awesome relaxing. We loved hearing the river.
