Description of the Dahlonega vacation cabin rental
The cabin is truly great with a living room and fireplace, nice master bedroom with bath, cute kitchen with "Wolfe" stove, small dining area. You can literally fish off the deck! The setting is really serene and just sitting in the privacy of the porch and watching the river, deer frolicking and you might even see a bear come to take a quick bath! (One of the guests actually saw a bear bathing in the river at dusk!) You will LOVE this cabin.
Location is at the end of a dead end road, only woods directly across from the river and twenty minutes to the outlet mall if shopping is your thing.
Ten minutes to the delightful town of Dahlonega where you can shop, dine in over 20 restaurants, canoe down the river, hiking trails galore, horseback riding less than two miles. Stay for a weekend or come and hang out for a week! These locations are hard to find and you will love this beautiful "hideaway".
Area Information
Only about 20 minutes to Blood Mountain, the beginning of the Appalachian Trail. Lot's of places to go in the area.

Cozy, Comfortable Cabin

The cabin was as described, and very comfortable and clean. We stayed there three days/two nights, cooked several meals - all cookware, pots, pans, flatware, serving ware, dish towels, etc. were provided (although, we did bring our own chopping knives). Fireplace was nice and kept the place warm. The back balcony overlooks the stream, and has a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal), jacuzzi and seating. It is quite close to all of the vineyards, and has walking trails all around it. The bathroom was nice, good hot water and water pressure. The cabin is also pretty close to the town square if you are looking to eat out, shop, etc. Highly recommend!

Arriving on Nov 9th. we found the cabin to be what we expected. There was more than enough room for the two of us. The fact that it overhung the river made it wonderful. We would definitely consider returning to the same location, because of the location and the distance we needed to travel was very convent for us. Description of the convinces in the cabin said one mini Fridge and one full fridge. Only a mini was present, but it was enough. and the stove was a good bit to large for the kitchen. We would still give the stay at the cabin a thumbs up.

The house is just what it says: adorable! This cute little mountain home has a huge deck over the river, so you can fish right there while relaxing and taking in the views. We'll definitely be back.

Peaceful quiet
November 29, 2011
We only drove three and a half hours to leave our noisy/hectic daily routine and arrive in a quiet and beautiful environment. The cabin was on the Chestatee River and at the end of a gravel road. The sound of the water was very relaxing. The cabin, though small was comfortable and the deck over the river was a great spot to fish, read, watch wildlife, etc. We had several good meals at local restaurants, in Dahlonega. There is hiking and other activities nearby.

Wonderful little cabin. I would recommend no more than 2 staying there since the bathrooom (although very large) is only accessible through the master bedroom. full kitchen, gas stove (nice).
