Perfect relaxing vacation

This is a terrific place for a vacation. I hate to share how wonderful it is for we want to return next year. The owners have made sure that everything you could possibly need is there. The bedrooms and space are thoughtfully planned out, with homey touches, even flowers greeted us on arrival. It was immaculately clean. The kids loved having their own loft and we loved having a bedroom on the main floor. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, except for the food of course. The fenced in area was perfect for securing our golden retriever but she enjoyed the lake and dock so much, she only spent minutes there. The water is clear and beautiful. There are stone steps for access, a little tricky, or you can access lake from the floating dock attached to the property. We brought our canoe and enjoyed nightly short trips about the lake. The loons showed up each evening or morning and we were also greeted by ducks with ducklings in tow. Neighbors were friendly and scarce. Quiet peaceful place. We caught 10 fish while there.. still don't know for sure, but think they were trout. Our kids are 12 and 15 and it was one of our best vacations. Town is lovely, and there is enough to do locally, Ft McHenry beautiful spot, ocean not far, and Boothbay Harbor easy driving distance about 20 minutes away. Bait at Hilltop Stop Gas Station... skip eating at Schooners Landing unless ordering the Lobster. Jacuzzi tub a special treat and ping pong table provided us nightly entertainment and something to do when rain came in for brief periods. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the lake. we can't wait to return and we just left this morning. Renting always makes us nervous, but this place is as advertised. It was a treat to bring our family pet with us and to always enjoy the view of the lake whether we were sitting on the dock or at the table having our meals. Hummingbirds even stopped by which thrilled my daughter. A great family vacation spot.

Perfect Location

My husband and I went to Damariscotta to visit family and had to bring our dog. The camp was the perfect answer. They even had a fenced in area for pets, our dog didnt need that but it is a plus for someone with animals that need to be confined. The view was wonderful we had a family of duck in front of the camp. In the evening we sat on the deck and watched the moon rise over the lake. I am planning on returning next year but will try to go for a full week instead.

We enjoyed staying at the cabin. Our friends live 3 minutes from the cabin it was the perfect place for us to stay. We plan on coming back every year.

What a great A-frame, fully equipped with great views of Lake Pemaquid. This home served as the home base for a family reunion celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary. So nice that I didn't really want to tour around but just hang around the house and enjoy the peace and tranquility. I fully reccommend this home to others looking for a great Maine vacation experience.

Excellent place to rent. Lots of room and well stocked. Off season was great with our dog and family as lots of room to roam on trails and quiet. Only disappointment was the dock was not in the water yet so it was hard to use our canoe. However highly recommend and fun to feed the ducks, geese and sit out and look at the lake .

Beautiful Quiet Lake house

We spent a week at Pemaquid Lake and enjoyed every minute of it. The house is well-equipped and has a wonderful, open floor plan that never felt crowded even when our whole family - 2 parents and 7 kids - were there. We went into Damariscotta shopping a few times and drove to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse for an afternoon, but none of us really wanted to leave the lake. The water is clear and soft - great for swimming and canoeing. The deck and the dock are perfect for lounging, reading, or dozing. Everyone said they'd be glad to come back again next year.

Property is lodge comfy, clean, secluded and quiet! It is 5 minutes from a large grocery store, fast food choices, Round Top Ice Cream (Maine's best -- try the coconut flavors!), and 5 more minutes from the quaint village of Damariscotta. Kitchen is fully equipped. Parking for 4+ vehicles. We saw ducks and loons from the deck. Terrific views day/night from inside and out. Loft area has a full size bed and windows overlooking the lake; the other loft bedroom has a door. There is a large bedroom on middle floor and all beds had very comfortable mattresses and cute comforters. Washer/dryer in basement, but we didn't use. Large tub shower/bathroom on middle floor where kitchen/living area are (12 or so steps up from the driveway with sturdy railings). TV reception was limited to 3 local & 1 public station and all were only passable in clarity. 20 minutes from Round Pond for lobster; Saltwater Cafe in Damariscotta had very good dinners; Reny's was a neat shop.

My family and I would highly recommend this cozy cabin. Beyond the well equipped living space, the lake view of the lake was a real treat and the easy access to the dock accommodated our kayaking and swimming.

Maine Dream Vacation

The Lake Home was far more that what was avertised. Perfect is the only word to describe this Cottage. The Cottage, the lake, the beach, and everything was superb. Just as it was shown. We boated, swam, enjoyed great times, went sightseeing, enjoyed pemaquid point and various seaside locations.. all from this central location. It's a short drive to Camden Hills park, Shopping and dining in Camden, going Whale watching, lobster fishing, and visiting with family and friends; all the things that make a Dream Vacation. Be sure to check out all the local stores and facilities that Damariscotta has to offer.
