Description of the Dana Point vacation home rental

This property has been fully remodeled with new kitchen with granite counters, travertine and laminate wood floors (carpet in the master). There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a California King sized bed. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and a twin bunkbed. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed. Plus a queen sized sofa sleeper in the living room. Well behaved pets are allowed, but if your dog lifts his leg indoors, please leave him at home - you will be held responsible for your dog's bad behavior.

Features a flat panel LCD TV in the living room with cable channels, internet with a secure WIFI connection, fireplace, laundry room off the kitchen with washer/dryer, parking for 2 cars in the driveway, parking for 1 car in the messy garage (garage is used for owner's storage, plus beach chairs and boogie boards), kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and cookware.

Private, landscaped backyard has a beautiful, large, state-of-the-art spa (note: the unit next door does not have a spa). A large gas BBQ is provided as well, but the housekeepers don't clean it so we ask that you leave it as nice as you found it.

Dana Point is a hidden treasure! Easy access to the 5 freeway, theme parks, shopping, restaurants, and some of the prettiest beaches in the world! Drive to historic San Juan Capistrano and visit the mission; zip up to Laguna Beach and hop on the trolley near South Coast Hospital; take the Coast Road down to San Clemente for the afternoon; hop on the 5 freeway for a quick trip to the San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park or Sea World; take the train or Metro to Oceanside for the afternoon; and if you enjoy crowds, waiting in lines, and spending all your money, you can hop on the freeway north to Disneyland.

Loved Dana Point

This was our first stay in Dana Point and we LOVED it. The property was exactly as described - clean and comfortable. The jacuzzi was wonderful and the king bed was exceptionally comfortable. The owner had an extra cooler, boogie/skim boards and beach chairs that we used as well. The beach is about a mile from the house - downhill. Which means it is a trek to walk back up from the beach. If you're in good shape though, it makes for a great walk - especially if you add in the interpretive trail on the point. Doheney beach was very uncrowded and makes a great place to surf - which both my boys did. (Eddie from Eddie's Super Fun Surf School is quite a character, but he can teach beginners to surf!) I'd highly recommend eating at the Chart House and the food at Dara Thai is better than average. The property is easy to get to from I-5 with a Ralph's, a Rite Aide, Albertsons and Costco nearby. We will definitely be returning.

Grass Beach Paradise

This house was perfect for 5 couples. we all had our own comfortable bedrooms, kitchen is big & open was easy to keep clean. the patio was my favorite spot, especialy in the morning cause there was always a handful of deer feeding. the game room was perfect for watchin UT on gameday too! we had 2 boats and a jet ski that we beached on the grassy cove with ease. I look forward to going back next year and I recommend it to families or friends lookin for a great time on the lake..
