Description of the Davenport vacation villa rental

Our villa is very spacious, light and airy, and very comfortable to stay in. The sleeping accommodation comprises two beautiful master bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms, plus two further bedrooms, one with twin beds and one with a double bed. One of the master bedrooms opens out onto the patio/pool.

There is also an additional shower room between the two double bedrooms, plus another WC/half-bathroom.

The pool has an integrated spa tub and there is a solar cover to retain heat, particularly when the temperature drops at night in the winter months.

The villa has WiFi internet access and there is a TV and DVD/CD player in the living area. There are also TVs in each of the master bedrooms.

Area Information

'Sunrise View' is situated south of Orlando along highway 27. Disney Theme Parks are just 10 minutes away and a new designer shopping centre, Posner Park, is being developed just a little way up the road, with many stores already completed. Nearby there are many sensational golf courses, from local community courses to international championship courses.

Other theme parks, including the new Legoland, Sea World, Bush Gardens and Universal are all within easy reach.

A real plus point is that we are just half an hour from Orlando International Airport or about an hour from Tampa in the other direction. There is no need to go elsewhere on your way from the airport to pick up the keys to our villa, as the accommodation is accessed via a coded lock box.

Deposits: Normally a 10% deposit is required on booking, the remainder payable 8 weeks before arrival. Other Fees: Pool Heating (recommended October thru April) - $25 per day - special deals on pool heating may be available from time to time. Shorter stays may be agreed, but 5 nights or less will incur an additional housekeeping fee of $85. $40 property protection insurance fee is recommended. Other extras can be booked through the management company, such as gas grill, safety deposit box etc. Details of these are shown on the booking forms.

Vacation Getaway

The villa was everything we had hoped for. Not over the top elegant but was as advertised - clean, well laid out, and accessible Everything was functional but for one thing and it was corrected immediately. Very central to attractions and easy to find. We enjoyed the screened in lanai and pool.

Excellent Golf Vacation House

We rented this lovely villa for a week and loved every minute of it. A beautiful home and very well situated to all the excellent golf courses we played. Plus a heated pool!! Absolute bonus for those tired muscles at the end of a hard day on the course.

Beautiful House

This house is absolutely beautiful. It is very spacious and clean. Everything worked. However I was a little disappointed. There aren't any King size beds like advertised, they were Queens. The pool was a huge let down for us. Instead of the hot tub being "Hot" it was the same temp as the pool. The pool never reached more than 80 degrees, even though the days were in the 80s and the pool heat was set at 90. We left the solar cover on it the whole time hoping that would help, but it did not. Christine and John are amazing to deal with, but the company they hire to take care of the house is very hard to get ahold of. They aren't availible on the weekends and when you go to leave a message, the line disconnects. Aside from the pool we enjoyed our stay! I would definitely rent the house again as it is very clean and spacious.

Thank you for your review. These are very helpful. We apologise for the mix up in the bed sizes. We are not so used to these larger sizes in the UK, so it was our mistake and we have now changed that in our details. We have also taken off the hot tub from our description, but there wasn't anywhere to indicate a spa attached to the pool, which is why we indicated 'hot tub'. Sorry about the misunderstanding. We didn't set out to mislead. We have spoken to our management company about your experience when trying to contact them and they tell us that, although their office is closed on the weekends, if the guest has an emergency they can call the after hours emergency number, which is located in the house. They also assured us that they have 3 lines in their office and someone is always here (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) to answer them. We really apologise that the system did not work for you during your stay and we hope this won't deter you from staying at our villa in the future. All the benefits of home...while on vacation!

We were so pleased to come across this listing when we were planning our recent trip to Florida. We wanted a comfortable place to stay without the hotel feel...and WOW did we find it! Right from the start our experience renting this home was a pleasant one. When we arrived at the home, we walked in to find a spacious, clean, well equipped home. We felt very much "at home" during our stay, which made it that much more relaxing. The neighborhood is very quiet and the neighbors are very friendly! As a recommendation, we suggest opting for the pool heat. Even though the weather was warm in April 2012 having the pool heat helped us enjoy the pool/spa during the cooler evenings. While staying in the home we had a few very minor issues (interruption of phone service, toilet that kept running, missing recycle bin) which were all corrected shortly after reporting them to the property management company. This was by far one of the most relaxing vacations and that is due greatly to John and Chris allowing us to stay in their beautiful home! We would GLADLY book again for future Florida vacations! A special thanks to The Florida Store as well, they were a pleasure to deal with!

CHRISTMAS VACATION
