Description of the Daytona Beach vacation home rental

You could enjoy Christmas this year in a Florida Waterfront house! At modest cost! With nearby beaches to stroll (still surprisingly uncrowded this time of year). And good restaurants where you don't have to wait an hour, or more, to get a table.

Unless we have a cancellation, Christmas week --Dec.18 to Dec. 28-- is the only time this rental is available until April. (See rate schedule.)

December is still "off season," and it is reasonable to expect bright days with shirt-sleeve temperatures. It is usually wonderful to be in Florida at this time of year.

The living room windows of our unique rental house have a sweeping, near 180 degree vista across a tidal bay. Located in a quiet, residential neighborhood, this nicely well-maintained, former family home has more than ample space for a couple. And it can accomodate four compatible people. Comfortably furnished, and currently set up with two double beds in separate rooms to accommodate up to four persons. Kitchen is not fancy, but fully functional. And yes, you could cook a turkey in it. (My mother did.) Bathroom is shower only. Carport/garage. Handicap ramp. Casual fishing from short dock.

WEEKLY rates are as follows: for December ONLY: $350/week for two persons; $500/week for three; $550/week for four. Must add 12.5% Volusia County's tax for short-term rentals. And, necessarily, a REFUNDABLE reservation/damage/security deposit ($300 for 2 people; $400 for 3; $500 for 4), and a cleaning charge ($75/$100/$150). NOTE: Cleaning charge also would be refundable, if house is left "spick and span."

WINTER 2010: a month's rental, at minimum, required. Inquire for available dates and rates. (As noted above, this winter seems to be booked at this time.)

Quiet residential neighborhood, between Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach. Five miles east of I-95.

Short drive to area beaches.

Centrally located for access to all Central Florida destinations, including Orlando. PLUS: Kennedy Space Center, Canaveral National Seashore and Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge within a hour's drive to the south. Historic St. Augustine, and the beaches of Flagler and St. Johns counties within an hour to the north. Number of refreshing springs (Blue, Alexander, Juniper, DeLeon etc., with cool, fresh water) to the west.
