Awesome Experience at Grandma Jeanie's Place
September 24, 2013
We recently stayed at Grandma Jeanie's place for a family wedding. It was the best choice we could have made after much shopping around. It was just 3 short blocks from the beach and still very close to all the places we needed to be for wedding things. Other than a couple glitches when we first got there (AC and cable/internet not working), the owner and rental assistant were very helpful and got us up and running. The house has been in this family for years and they do take great care of it. It was a good opportunity for our family to have together time and relax. The neighborhood was quiet. While the women were out doing wedding/bachelorette things, the guys and baby were able to walk to the beach and relax. LOVED the patio area in the back in the evening. It was a great spot to unwind and visit. I'm so glad we chose this rental. There was plenty of room for us to move around and not feel crunched and in one another's way. Terri, the rental agent, was absolutely wonderful and very helpful and always got back to us quickly throughout the wole proccess. The owner, Kurt, who lives a LONG way away, was always just a phone call or email away whenever there were questions. There were plenty of towels, washcloths, dishcloths, dishes, etc. The place was very clean. I think we were probably the first renters of the season, so perhaps that is why we had the AC and cable issues. The house had been closed up for awhile. Other than some cockroach sitings (something very common in the south, but not something we northerners are used to) toward the end of the visit, everything was just great. They even have plenty of patio furniture, beach chairs, umbrella, etc. They are very well equipped and willing to share. This is a great family home away from home to stay in. I would definitely stay here again!!
