Area Information
Ski Wisp (less than 5 minutes); Timberline/Canaan Valley (50 min Drive) or Seven Springs (55 min Drive). Enjoy the brand new White Water Adventure Center (3 minutes) or just kick back and relax and enjoy the view of the lake on the magnificant decks. Fish from the private dock, and tie up your boat and explore the lake at your leisure! Summer weeks are booking briskly, so grab the prime weeks while they last!
For fun, you can challenge your guests to a game of bumper pool or poker. Or take a bike ride or slow-paced walk around the peaceful lakeside setting. As the day cools down, jump in the hot tub or enjoy the warm glow of the fireplaces. As you settle in for the night, you can feel yourself becoming renewed.
At Retro Lake Landing, cleaning services at departure and linens for your stay are included. Rental rates vary by season and availability. This is a Non-Smoking home please (sorry, our kids have asthma)! Pets permitted with owner approval and pet fee.
In addition to the beauty of being lakeside for fishing, boating, swiming, tubing, watersking, and less than a mile from Wisp for snow skiing and other attractions, there is also nearby mini-golf, shopping, restaurants, 3 state parks with hiking and cross country skiing, 4 Wheelers, Snow mobiles, antique shops and homes to tour, horseback riding and train rides/sleigh rides. The local movie theater with all the natural stone is beautiful, and shows all the current releases!

Looking For A Great Place To Relax, Well Look No Futher. It Was Suggested To Have A Four Wheel Drive Auto,well We Found Why. We Started Coming To Deep Creek Lake Over Fifth Years Ago.but This Is The First Time I Ever Had To Shovel Snow.the Sight That The Snow Had On The Trees Was Out Of Sight.we Took Our Dog Along With Us .i Think He Had More Fun Then We Did.he Spent A Lot Of Time Looking For The Pines(chipmunks).the View Was Fantastic. At Night We Could Seethe Lights On The Bridge At Route 219.weather Was Cold But The Lodge Was Cosey And Warm. Took Time Yo Do Some Fishing But I Think It Was A Little To Cold Even For The Fish. The House Was Great. I Just Loved The Spirial Stair Case.if You Were Looking For A Great Place To Get Away From Workand Relax This Is It. Thank you for a wonderful weekend at Deep Creek! We had a great time at the house as did our two dogs...we all really enjoyed swimming off the dock! There is so much to do in the area and the scenery is fantastic. We whitewater rafted and went to the nearby brewery for hearth roasted pizza and delicious home brewed beer.

Great Ski Weekend

A group of friends and I rented Retro Lake for a long weekend of skiing and couldn't have been happier. The home had everything we were looking for: plenty of beds, fireplace, communal space, and a hot tub. We had an amazing view of the frozen lake and were only minutes from the ski resort. It was great to come back to a space where we could cook great family style dinners and relax in the hot tub. The owner was extremely helpful with any questions I had before the trip and the rental company got us checked in and out quickly and efficiently.

Just Perfect!

My wife and I spent a week here in April 2010 to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We had heard about Deep Creek from some friends and decided to check it out for ourselves. We could not have been happier with how it worked out. The property management was very easy to work with; they got us checked in quickly and were eager to answer any of our questions once we were up at the house. The house was very cute and would work perfectly for a couple or a group of friends (our trip was me, my wife, and our two dogs). It was an easy to walk down to the water and the floating dock was great. We went fishing and took the dogs down to go swimming a few times and had an awesome time. The two decks were a bunch of fun as well. The top deck offered a great view of the lake, which we took advantage of most mornings for breakfast. The lower deck was also really cool; we used either the outdoor fireplace or the hot tub every night. The inside of the house was also very nice. The round design made it very interesting (a nice departure from the standard, lakeside cabin). The kitchen was great, fairly spacious and worked perfect for cooking the meals we decided not to use the outside grill for. The beds and couches were comfortable, and the tvs were good (we had a couple of veg-out nights during the week). Overall, I could not recommend the place more. Whether you plan to travel as a couple or as a group, it offers all you could need for a nice relaxing week at the lake.

Reconnect at the lake

We have spent year after year on vacation at amusement parks since as long as we can remember. We all decided (my wife and all 7 children)we decided it was time to slow down and reconnect. We had more fun then on any vacation we have done in the past. We spent 9 hours in a van to get there and we would all do it again in a heart beat. We will be booking the same house this year. I wish more families would slow down and reconnect at vacation homes. We had a slide show for the extended family using the pictures we took on vacation and they are going to try it also. My family had a great time during our week at Deep Creek. The house was very nice, clean and well kept. The swimming and fishing were good and the wooded setting relaxing.
