Description of the Deer Isle vacation cottage rental

Murfey Cottage is located on multiple acres, privately situated on the western shores of Little Deer Isle. It holds expansive views over Penobscot Bay, with distant views to the hills of Camden. Adirondack chairs on granite ledge, or outdoor seating on the side deck (off the kitchen) offer nice venues to enjoy this natural setting. An apple tree laden path takes you to a private beach area, as well as rocky shoreline and wooded paths to explore. The home has been beautifully restored to maintain its original cottage charm. The cozy living room is warmed by a striking fieldstone fireplace and furnished with plush seating and stylish decor, and opens to a simple but adorable country kitchen. There is a separate dining room with a large pine table, and relaxing reading area. The second floor has a very large master bedroom with a king size bed. Glass french doors separate the master bedroom (king bed) from the front bedroom (2 double beds), both overlooking the scenic views beyond. Murfey Cottage is the perfect setting for those enjoying old charm, privacy, and exceptional views.
