Farmhouse in 9 acres overlooking cove plus kayaks

This is a typical wooden New England farmhouse. It is set high up, overlooking 9 acres of meadow and woods, and has 500 foot of shore. The house is airy and bright. The tidal cove empties into Penobscot Bay and has excellent fishing, in season. The house is set about 3 miles from and between, the small towns of Stonington or Deer Isle. There is a deck for relaxing on and watching the sunset, and a large granite ledge out back, ideal for a bbq.

The house is located off the scenic Island route, set back about 300 feet from the water, providing long views of the cove. Well behaved pets are welcome.

Deer Isle is a small island off the coast of Maine, connected to the mainland by a suspension bridge. The island is a center for lobster fishing and arts and crafts. We are located at the top of Crockett Cove. There is an eagle sanctuary in the next cove on Bard Island. This is a very rural unspoilt location.

Bird watching is terrific. Ospreys nest about 2 miles away. Fishing for sea bass in the cove. Picking blueberries in the field.
