Description of the Delavan vacation home rental

Relax and feel like you are at home. Better still relax and feel like you are really on vacation in this tasetfully furnished 2 bedroom, 2 bath cottage on beautiful Lake Delavan. We are in a private sub-division called Assembly Park located 8 miles west of Lake Geneva.

The cottage is self contained except for sheets, pillow cases, towels and wash cloths, which you supply. It sleeps 7 with one bedroom having a double bed. The other bedroom has bunk beds and 2 twin beds. The 7th bed is a rollaway bed located in one of the closets which can be used anywhere. The second bathroom is in the lower level. The cottage has a large wrap around side/rear deck with patio furniture. There is also a ground level patio in front with patio furniture.

The cottage has central heat and air conditioning.

Wireless internet availabe at the Assembly hall a few doors East.

Association rules prohibit dogs unless renting for 30 days or more.

Area Information

Enjoy our own private community beach or just sit and relax in the gazebo or pavilion by the Lake and watch the children play on the swings, merry-go-round, sand box, tetter totter and jungle Gym. For the real sportsman there is also a softball field, shuffleboard court, basketball court and a horseshoe pit.

Lake Delavan is also rated one of the best fishing lakes in Wisconsin. It is often written up in the Chicago Tribune and other newpapers. Boat rentals at Lake Lawn Resort, Geneva LkesBoatrental, and other surounding areas. Pier rentals when available from $15 per day to $100 per week.

There is also a $100.00 damage and security deposit that will be returned within 10 days after inspection after departure if there is no damage and the cottage is clean. A service charge will be deducted from security and cleaning deposit if there is any damage or the cottage is not clean. Cancellations must be made at least one week before scheduled arrival.

Other Fees: Holiday week and weekends have a slightly higher rate.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities

Childrens dances are a regular event on Thursday evening and if you like bingo you can join the fun every Saturdays evening. You can also play baketball, shuffle board, horseshoes and volley ball. With 2 1/2 miles of roadways you can enjoy your monrning bike rides or just stroll among the many trees and visit the many playgrounds throughout the Park. About 4 miles east of the cottage is a petting zoo with dancing horses. A little bit further are stables for horseback riding. If you play golf, bring your clubs and play beautiful Delbrook Golf Course located about 3 miles west of the cottage. There are also other courses not far away and with plenty of good eating and drinking establishments close by you will never lack for anything to do. Antique lovers will be in shoppers heaven while visiting the many antique and resale shops in downtown Delavan.

My family could not have aske for a better host. The house was clean, quiet, and all the comforts of home. OPur three childrten had the extra playroom downstairs as well to keep them occupied at the end of the day of swimming at the beach one block one block away. It was great there were two full bathrooms with showers forthe five of us, as well as the central air conditioning. The shady deck in back was also use alot while barbequing on the gas grill. I am already tryin to plan our next getaway and Joe was very friendly and great to work with. Will definitely go again.
