Description of the Delton vacation cottage rental
Nestled on a wooded lot, White Oak Point is a large, family oriented vacation home. If you are looking for a vacation spot to spend quality time with the family, this is it. With over 2500 of square feet on three floors there is plenty of space for relaxation. Upon entering the front door you are immediately stress free by the welcoming entrance and view of the beach and private lake. The main floor is open and inviting with hardwood floors, a family room area and cozy fireplace. Windows surround the main floor for beautiful views of the surrounding woods and lake. The kitchen is fully equiped with microwave, dishwasher, kitchen island, and dining table for 8, which can be extended for 12. A 12 X 38' deck invites you outside each morning for breakfast. Eat at the picnic table or sit on bar stools at the wide "bar style" railing. A gas grill is available for cooking your favorite summer fare. The lower level walkout has a sectional sofa seating area with TV and DVD player, an old pool table (perfect for kids play) and a full bath/laundry room. A 12 x 38' patio with picnic table and porch swing are just outside, perfect for you to enjoy watching the kids play bag toss, croquet, or volleyball in the huge lakeside yard! The large sandy beach is really where you will spend your days. It is nice and sandy with a gradual incline, very safe for small children. Small willow trees on half the beach area provide welcoming shade to nap or picnic under at mid day. A raft is 30 yards out for play and sunbathing. And, since the lake is really known for FISHING, a 12 foot pier with shoreline seating is the perfect spot to leisurely "cast a few" with your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. A rowboat is available for more serious fishing. The cottage itself sits surrounded on three sides by beautiful naturalized gardens fading into the woods. Short paths invite you to enjoy the ferns, hostas, and birds any time of the day. However, the evening is for smores at the campfire and stargazing on the beach. There is not a better way to end a summer day full of swimming, canoeing, fishing, or exploring than to sit around a campfire with easy conversation and smell the great outdoors. When you are finally ready, the main floor has two bedrooms and a full bath. On the 2nd floor, there are two large bedrooms, one with 4 twin beds and one with 3. Each of the upstairs bedrooms has floor space for a queen size blowup mattress as well. A convenient half bath is between the two bedrooms. White Oak Point will reward you with a good night's sleep, it is a very quiet lake, you will not feel like you are "sandwiched in" sharing your vacation with strangers. Overall, the cottage is very relaxing and user friendly. It was built to maximize family enjoyment with relaxation and quality time. We love every minute here and hope you will too.

You truly only need to pack your clothes. Everything and more is supplied at this cottage. Games, toys, and beauty! Owners do an outstanding job of keeping this property clean and inviting. Very organized and prepared for all situations. Family Fare grocery store only 5 minutes away in Delton. We had a great time with our 3 young children and Grandma too! Thank you Randy and Ceci for a true "home away from home" weekend.

This home is just what we needed. Very, very clean which was extremely important to my sister in law and me! Cece and Randy are wonderful to work with and so accomadating. We loved having our private beach with no rocks ...the four kids enjoyed every minute using the row boat and kayakes. We could not have been any more pleased. The description on the internet is so accurate of the cottage and the fishing was great off the pier.

Randy & Ceci Hayes

Owner's reply:

We are so happy to have met you guys and that you had such a nice time, we did too! Hope to see you again.

Peaceful relaxation

This property was the epitomy of a quiet, relaxing vacation. The lake is small, but plenty big for kayaking or canoeing. Set back off the busy roads, it is so peaceful. The cottage is very good size and there is room for all. We used it to celebrate an anniversary with our grown children and their families. Ceci & Randy are gracious, and make sure you are well taken care of. Take note, there is only one TV, and it only receives one local channel, but it is refreshing to get away from the daily news reports, and the general push of day to day life. They do offer wifi, so you can watch a movie or so. If you like to fish, the lake is great for that also. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. For those who like to sightsee, there are some wonderful places to visit that are not too far away. Ie. Kellogg manor, Gilmore car museum, etc. All in all , we would recommend this property for a great getaway.

Great Vacation

Our sons & their families spent the week with us at White Oak Point Lake Cottage. We loved being on the lake where we could walk out the door & down to the beach. Our sons really got into fishing for the first time & so enjoyed themselves along with our grandchildren. We had plenty of room to spread out with several options for sleeping arrangements because of the all beds available. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pans, bowls, glasses, tableware & silverware for our large clan. Thank you Randy & Ceci for a great vacation!! Tom & Becky

Great Experience

We were very comfortably settled. The house was nice and clean when we arrived. It took us 2 days to get Internet working though as well as telephone and TV. That was a nuisance!!! The overall experience was great!!

Randy & Ceci Hayes

Owner's reply:

We are so sorry you had problems with the phone and TV. Glad you got hooked up and enjoyed your stay even with the crazy weather!

Peaceful Perfection

This cottage is exactly as advertised and we were very pleased. Every detail was taken care of and Randy was a perfect host. There are very few cottages on the lake so it is very peaceful. The beach is amazing and it's an easy swim out to the floating dock. The town of Hastings is only 10 minutes away where you can get anything you want. We highly recommend this property!

Randy & Ceci Hayes

Owner's reply:

Thanks Mark, glad your family had a fun and relaxing time. We do enjoy the beach, and the raft has provided our family with lots and lots of good laughs, we've solved a few "world problems" out there too! Have a good year, hope to see you again.

Great Family Vacation!

What a wonderful, relaxing week! The house and it's surroundings were even better than the pictures. Our kids are 16 & 10 and loved the beach and fishing. The house had everything we needed and more! It was very clean & cozy. My favorite place was the view of the lake from the deck. Thanks to Randy & Cici for sharing their lake home and allowing our family to have an amazing experience! We will definitely be back!

Randy & Ceci Hayes

Owner's reply:

Thanks, Tina!
