Fabulous vacation!

My sister and I have stayed in this condo three times now. It is in a great location, it is a beautiful condo within walking distance of just about everything. The condo is stocked with everything you need to prepare a great meal. The view of the ocean from the patio is breath taking. Open the sliding glass doors to the patio and let the sound of the waves put you to sleep. The restaurant on the first floor, Rick's, has excellent food. There is a bar at the pool and at the beach. You can't ask for anything more! You can walk to the Whale's Tale for breakfast, go to the pool or beach, walk up to your condo and get cleaned up for a great meal at Rick's. You don't have to leave the building if you don't want to. The owner, Pat, is such a pleasure to work with. She is so accommodating. We are planning to go back as soon as possible....definitely next year but maybe before that.

The Banana Wind was perfect.for our family trip! Because it was our daughter's wedding, we had guests visit. Parking was convenient and the pool and hot tub were warm, welcoming, and right outside our door! The beach was five minutes away. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it!

My family spent our fall break in Destin. The Condo was wonderful and had everything we needed. The beach was beautiful. You can literally walk to anything you might need for example restaurants, grocery store, drug store, and even the dollar store! We are already looking forward to coming back next year.

My wife and i stayed for a full week in September for our 5th anniversary. It was everything we hoped it'd be! Beautiful view of the ocean; LOVED the balcony! Fully stocked kitchen. Short distance to malls and awesome restaurants. Pat was very easy to work with! Above all, we got much-needed R & R! (Our only minor issue would be that the WiFi was really slow and elusive; but if you leave the electronics home, this isn't an issue. And you'll probably be able to relax more!) We will definitely be returning in the future!

Girls Weekend Get Away 2012

6 women needed a much needed break from every day life; kids, grandkids, work, lack-of-work, and other stresses. God blessed us with great weather after Tropical Storm/ Hurricane Isaac. We totally enjoyed the pool, fitness room and the beach! "The Nanas" rested well each having her own double bed. One mom with young adult children had the couch. Single mom sleeping on an air mattress shared the master bedroom with another mom of adult children and a single woman. We were comfortable getting ready for shopping and dinner in the evenings sharing two bathrooms. We would be excited to stay in this well decorated condo and deal with the owner again.

I found this condo amazing! Had everything we needed to stay for a week. There was 4 adults and 2 kids (ages 12 & 10) and we had plenty of space and had a great time. Condo is clean, amazing balcony that I sat on every morning and drank coffee and watched the ocean. Will be back!! Great location to everything!! And Pat was so nice to work with!

Relaxing vacation

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in your condo with our 3 kids, ages 15, 13, and 11. It was a perfect lay-out with plenty of privacy. The beach was gorgeous and there were plenty of activities to keep our kids busy. They especially enjoyed going for a swim every night in the pool which was open until 11pm. Pat was very easy to work with and communicated with me at every step of the process. We would definitely rent here again. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and we spent a great deal of time on the spacious balcony. Thanks again for a great week!

This condo has everything you may need and more while on vacation. The view from the balcany is spectacular, it is decorated very well. And Pat has been a joy to work with and plan this trip. We would definately return and rent again from Pat. The only compaint I would have but not with this condo or Pat is they could use another elevator, but it was a holiday week. We loved our condo in Destin at Escape to Paradise. Every room in the condo had a lovely ocean view. The master bedroom was separated with its own bath on one end of the condo for privacy. The second bedroom was on the other end of the condo with a separate bath. It had lots of room and was decorated beautifully. The beach access was so convenient. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the entire resort including pool, elevators and lobby too. Will return ASAP in the future. Couldn't have been more comfortable away from home.

This place was "AWESOME"!! Hearing the waves crashing 24/7 was so very relaxing. The kids really liked the Sports Court area under the lights. We loved the availability of the chairs and umbrella on the beach!! It felt great to be catered to on our vacation. We will be back soon!!

The condo was everything we needed with two large bedrooms and all the comforts of home. Could use some minor repairs to dresser drawer in second bedroom and to kitchen drawer but other than that everything was perfect. Pool was an awesome 85 degrees...perfect for December weather and we frequented the hot tubs daily. Location is near to many restaurants and shopping. Hope to return soon!

My girlfriend and I just got back from a wonderful week in Destin and loved the condo. The condo was beautiful and was furnished with everything that you could possibly need for cooking and entertaining. . The view was fantastic and the walk to the beach was easy. It was also a beautiful view in the evening. The unit was furnished beautifully and clean and we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. The location was great. Close to shopping, restaurants and a Winn Dixie just down the street.. We are definitely coming back and are so happy to know that we won't have to search for a condo next time because this one was perfect!!.

I took my sister and our 3 children and had a GREAT vacation. The pictures and details were very true to form and there was no surprises. The condo was great and the ocean was absolutely BEAUTIFUL....The ameneties were good and we were close to everything. I was little concerned being across the street from the beach but after getting there and seeing it for myself, I was very pleased. The view was great. We left the sliders open every night and listened to the waves of the ocean. (what a way to go to sleep). Thank you so much for your hospitality and a GREAT CONDO...We will be back next year.

The area and condo were awesome! The unit had an awesome view of the beach and access to the beach was convenient. The unit was very clean and decorated beautifully; it felt like home. We were able to cook a full meal; the unit was stocked with enough pots, pans, dishes to prepare a full meal. The area was close to the Outlet Mall and other attractions. I really enjoyed every aspect of the area, condo and unit. I highly recommend SurfSide for a weekend or vacation getaway.

Awesome Vacation Condo!

This condo is simply SUPERB! All rooms have an entrance to the very large balcony which has a beautiful view of the water. We could see the water from the master bdrm, the kitchen and living room! Simply awesome! It is very well decorated and comfortable. We had everything we needed and felt so at home. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. We found it to be even better than advertised. Pat was wonderful to work with and thinks of everything. The only thing that could have made it better was if we could have stayed much longer!!! We did not want to leave!! Thank you Pat for such a wonderful stay! We will be back!!

We recently stayed at the Surfside in Destin, and had a wonderful time. The accomadaitons overlooked the pool and we had a great view of the beach. Althought I am sure the complex was full, it never really felt like it. The workers were continually cleaning and ,aking sure the facility stayed nice for everyone. It was a little bit of ta walk to the beach, but nothing to keep us from recommending it to someone else. We came in on Sunday and left on Friday, which I would suggest since almost all rentals arer Saturday to Saturday, so it is more crowded checking in and checking out.

Condo and property were exactly as described. The condo was beautiful and completely furnished and the welcome snack basket was enjoyed by all. The property amenities were great.(Pool, Spa, Fitness Center and Sauna) Pat was a pleasure to work with and very accomodating. My family and I will return in the near future to relax in paradise.

The condo was perfect for our vacation. Everything we needed was furnished! Very complete kitchen. We used the heated pool a lot, the tennis courts, etc. Pat was very pleasant to work with. Would recommend this condo.

The best way to describe this unit is the word WOW. The pictures do not do the unit justice. The beds were great for older folks like us and all the furnishings were far more than we had expected. We decided on the spur of the moment to go to Destin. Pat was so easy to work with on such short notice and had taken care of everything with in 10 days. Pat truly put the "S bacl in the word service. If you are looking for a place that has a wonderful view of the ocean and the white sanding beach, along with the most beautiful sunets you could ever ask for, this place is for you. Beautiful, clean condo. Loved the washing machine, with a 2yr old and 4 year old and all the trips to the beach it was wonderful. Beautiful view and great pool area. Close to some areas of added fun for the family. Had a great week.

We stay august 1-5 and it was wonderful!! Everything was better than described! The condo was perfect! Very nice everything you could think of she had in condo. The balcony was unbelievable!! We did not want to leave! We will be back. There were a fewthings we had to go to front desk for and the staff there was very helpful! The pool and bar was awesome they have a bath house with showers and sauna at pool was great. Did not eat at hotel but did eat at a whails tail just right down from condo on beach and it was great and reasonable price. Pat was wonderful to deal with. I could go on and on and on at how wonderful it was. We will be back next summer and will stay at this condo. This was an outstanding place to stay. Enjoyed every minute. Pat was fantastic to work with and answered every question we had (which I had several), this was our first time in a condo. Everything is perfectly described. It was so nice to wake up in the morning and see the ocean and the sunsets were beautiful,also. Great location to food and fun. Working with Pat was great. She was very helpful and accommodating. Our trip started on a Wednesday and ended on Saturday. We really enjoyed staying at this condo rather than a hotel. The condo was very nice, the right size for our family. The beach just outside the condo was amazing. We couldn't have asked for prettier sand and water. We have a four, three and one year old who were all able to get in the water without being knocked over (too much.) Plenty of great restaurants nearby and shopping. Definitely recommend 'Deweys' Seafood restaurant, great fresh seafood. (Loved the crab-cakes.) Also the 'Whales Tail' just up the beach from the condo. All-in-all a great place to stay while enjoying a vacation with family at the beach.

This is the second year we have stayed at the exact same unit. It was just as good as the first time. It's a short walk to the beach (3-4 minutes from room to beach). It's only a mile or two from the outlet mall, a few miles from Baytowne Wharf, and near a variety of restaurants. The pricing is always found to be very reasonable, and the unit offers every ammenity you could need during a vacation. I highly recommend staying here.

This was our third time in the Destin area and our first time in Pats' Condo. We have booked to return to Pats' condo. While we were in Destin we looked at several other possible accommodations for next year, but none could compare. The layout is perfect for two couples with the bedrooms on opposite ends and the living and dining area in the middle. The view of the gulf with it's Dolphins and Pelicans passing by seemed out of this world. The condo is immaculately clean and very tastefully decorated. Pat is extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone.

We have stayed in many condos and this was the best so far. The owners were fantastic and patient when our check was lost in the mail! We would highly recommend this unit to anyone and would love to return in the future. The unit was clean and tastefully decorated. No stopping at a rental office for keys and there was no check in - we simply went straight up to the condo. We have waited in line in the past to check in and didn't miss it. My husband and I spent 6 weeks at Pat and Julie's condo and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The condo faces west so you get to view the most beautiful sunsets. The view of the mid-bay bridge and the lights of Destin at night were also beautiful. The condo is was very well furnished and any questions or problems were very quickly answered. We can hardly wait for next February when we again can come back for a wonderful stay.

This was our first time to Destin. We had a wonderful time and stay, which we did not want to come back home. The view was wonderful. Fabulous condo with stunning views. The beach was gorgeous! Pat was absolutely wonderful to work with and this was probably the easiest vacation we have ever planned because of that fact. The condo was immaculate, as was the building. This location is close enough to civilization that you can plan a trip with the comforts of home, but is also removed enough from the main commercial area that you can totally escape. My children begged to stay...my husband and I seriously considered contacting Pat to see if we could! If it weren't for the dogs waiting for us at home... If you have the opportunity to stay here, take it!

My daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter and I had a lovely time. The condo was clean, spacious, well-furnished, well-equipped with a great view. We sat on the balcony and watched the dolphins every morning and most evenings. Pat and Jill were great to work with - responsive to emails and questions and most accomodating. Having the crosswalk and the private beach was a big plus!

This was a very nicely decorated condo. It felt like home because it had absolutely everything you needed for cooking and such. The owner was very easy to communicate with via email. It was a very easy experience. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed the two beach chairs and umbrella, however, you do have to go out early in the morning to "reserve" a chair that you want. The vacation was overall real good. Check In: We arrived around 1:30pm prior to the 3:00pm checkin. We asked the Sales Office to call us when the room was ready. The Sales Office told us the room would be ready at 2:30pm and that we would be called.. 3:00pm came around and no call from the Sales Office. We had to go back to the Sales Office and get the keys. Condo Unit: The unit was good. The kitchen had new appliances but the cabinets were old and outdated and a cabinet door came loose. The master bathroom floor was dirty, outdated, and a towel hangar came off the wall. It appears to have been poorly installed. The area around the patio door was dirty and needed to be power washed. The dining room table was very small. The view from patio was very nice. The new kitchen appliances were great. There were lots of dishes, pots, pans, and plenty of cooking accessories. The TVs were adequate. The living room needs a ceiling fan. Screen doors to the patio were lacking

I brought a group of senior girls to this condo for spring break. Both the girls and I had a great time and felt perfectly at home in Pat's condo. It is well furnished and the kitchen had everything you could need. The layout is perfect and what I noticed missing from other reviews is the fact that the LARGE balcony has doors from both of the bedrooms as well as the kitchen and family room. Watching the sunset from there was beautiful. I would highly recommend this condo for families as it is a short walk across a bridge to the beautiful beach. The pool and hot tub were wonderful as well and made a great rendevous place for other friends that were staying in the area. Covered parking was another plus, as was the washer/dryer. We will definitely contact Pat any time that we plan to return to Destin. This condo is highly recomended!!

What a way to spend February! Sun, warmth, surf and fantastic place to stay. Look to the south and see the ocean, look to the north and see the bay. Look at night and watch the lights! The condo is well furnished and smartly decorated and the facilities on site are well managed. We used the pool, sauna, hot-tub, exercise room and restaurant. While the kitchen was fully stocked with every dish/pot/utenisil is was very convenient to have a good restaurant on site. Why did we leave and come back to Wisconsin?

We needed a place to rest and relax and 1204 did that for us. What a great way to spend Christmas and New Years. The view was fantastic and the decorating made us all feel so comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked, Pat thought about everything from the Corkscrews to a crock pot. We definitely would want to rent this unit again.

My family and I arrived for Labor Day weekend and absolutely loved it! The view from the patio was amazing! There were sliding doors in both bedrooms and the condo decor was so beautiful! Our family loved the stay at your lovely condo. Everything was just as you said it would be. The view was just great and the beach was very clean and easy to use. The staff that help keep you comfortable and safe are great and very nice. The restaurant, Charlies, is closed now, but that did not affect us because the kitchen was very easy to cook in. This condo was exceptional!The only thing missing was the restaurant/tiki bar at the resort that recently closed. Other than that the condo was perfect!
