Description of the Destin vacation condo rental

Get ready for the vacation of a lifetime. Sandpiper Cove Resort has something for everyone. Move into a beautifully furnished studio. Perfect for a couple or a family of four. Children always welcome. No Smoking please. A queen size murphy bed pulls down out of the closet and the sofa converts into a queen-size bed. The condo is on the ground floor with parking directly in front of the unit. It has a 24 hour security/guard house.

Bring your boat and moor it on the peaceful canal in Destin Harbor. Sandpiper Cove has its own private marina and boat ramp (free). Head to the Gulf, Chatawhatchee Bay, or the Bayous. Try your hand at crabbing or fishing. Do you scuba dive or snorkel' Be prepared for a real treat. Catch your own lobster for dinner or marvel at the beauty of the marine life on the limestone reefs. You might even want to dive on a sunken wreck.

Perfect Stay!

I really enjoyed the resort vs a hotel stay. It was relaxing had adequate amenities. The Kitchen unit was full size kitchen which saves on having to eat out everynight. Lacked BBQ which would jhabe been a plus. The bath was full size with a large soaking tub. A jetted tub would have been the best after a long day. The pool was 72 feet away from back patio... Loved it. I have a vacation Resort in Destin but can never get in during the summer. I was able to book a last minute reservation with 2 day notice. I will most definately and reccommend SandPiper Cove.

Destin Seafood Fest

I came in for the Destin Seafood Fest to see Mark Farner perform. The condo was nice. Wasn't there much. Melissa the owner was very easy to deal with. The condo is not on the beach but there is a private beach across the street which was very handy.

The condo was great. It had everything we needed. It was our best vacation ever as a family. The murphy bed was comfortable for me. I was a little nervous with some of the breakables in the condo because of the kids but everything turned out fine. It was great that they had so much kitchenware. My daughters loved drinking out of the colorfull glasses. The cable TV was appreciated when we were looking for some downtime in the air conditioning. We were very depressed for a couple of days after we left. We will certainly look you up againand also recommend your condo to any of our friends or family who are looking to get away from it all. Frequently Asked Questions

Q:Is this a house or a condo?

A:This is a condominium resort. It is located on 43 acres in the Holiday Isle section of Destin, Florida. The condo comes with a resort for the same price.

Q:Is this condo on the beach?

A:No. This condo is about 220 steps to the beach. It takes about 2 minutes to walk from the condo to the beach. If this condo were right on the beach, the rental rates would be about 3 to 4 times what we charge.

Q:Can I see the Gulf from this condo?

A:No. You can see the pool, which is directly in front of the condo. Once you walk from the condo to the beach pavilion, you will then see the Gulf. You are saving substantially to take a 2-minute walk to see the water. You can sit on the pavilion as long as you like.

Q:What are the other fees?

A:The only charges are the rent, the cleaning fee and State/Local sales tax.

Q:Is the pool and beach pavilion included?

A:Yes. All the resort facilities belong to the homeowners association; the use of them is included in the rent. The exception is boat docking which is a separate charge paid directly to Sandpiper Cove.

Q:Do you have beach service? (Chairs on the beach.)

A:Yes, there is a small daily fee for beach service. It is seasonal. Kay's Condo has its own chairs and umbrella for your use.

Q:Where is the condo located in Destin?

A:The condo is on Holiday Isle, a peninsula between the Gulf of Mexico and Destin Harbor in Destin Florida. It occupies the land between Hwy 98 and the beach. For a map try Mapquest for 775 Gulf Shore Drive Destin Florida 32541

Q:Is the pool heated?

A:Yes. Two of the five pools are open all year and are heated to about 85 degrees in the cooler seasons.

Q:What do I need to bring to KAY's Condo?

A:Food. We have everything else. You may want to bring your beach towels, toys for the beach and pool.

Q:Is the cleaning included?

A:Yes. We have the unit professionally cleaned immediately before and after your stay. We do not have daily maid service. There is a vacuum and brooms and dust pans should you need them during your stay.

Q:What do I do if I have a problem while on vacation?

A:Sandpiper Cove has a full time maintenance department. You call them; they fix it and send me the bill. . You also may contact us at anytime while you are on vacation and we will see that you get immediate assistance.

Q:What is there to do in DESTIN?

A:This list is endless. Destin grows each year. It is a resort town. It caters to people on vacation. Here is a short list of activities: fishing, boating, biking, shopping, golf and more golf, go-carts, more shopping, parasailing, dune buggies, water parks, air force museum, site seeing, jet ski rentals, many quality restaurants, plus much more.
