Description of the Destin vacation condo rental
The third bedroom”Peaceful Bliss” is a separate suite with a private Gulf Front balcony with all new patio furniture. It is called a lock-out unit which has a separate entrance from the hallway. This allows a private, locked area away from the main living area. This suite has a queen sized bed, a ceiling fan , a large walk-in shower, a table, a fully equipped mini kitchen with a small refrigerator, full sized microwave, coffee pot and a toaster. Complete with dishes, glasses and utensils. All of the linens are supplied. There is an iPod player, a flat screen TV with a DVD/CD player, and a relaxing sound system radio.
About Surfside
Surfside Resort has inside air conditioned hall corridors and outside covered parking. On the first floor of the building there is a fitness room. Also on the first floor is the restaurant Rick's Crab Trap, as well as a massage therapist and a hair salon. You will find a Tiki Bar out by the pool, which serves food and drinks, weather permitting. Or there is a picnic area with charcoal barbecue grills for your use. Outside are the tennis and basketball courts, a large heated swimming pool, a kiddie pool and 2 hot tubs, as well as a sauna. There is a large sun deck for your use to sun bathe in the Florida Sun, listen to music, read a book or just listen to the surf and relax. A sky bridge takes you onto the sandy white beaches. Once on the beautiful beaches, you can take a walk, play in the beautiful emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico and even build sandcastles! You can fly kites, play volleyball or just relax in one of the beach set ups, which includes 4 chairs and 2 umbrella, which comes with unit 601 and 601a at no charge. If you rent 601 as a two bd/ba you will get 2 chairs and 1 umbrella. If you rent 601a the suite you will get 1 umbrella and 2 chairs daily weather permitting. From March 1st to October 31, 2010. 24 hour security on site is also provided.
Surfside has all you need for a wonderful, relaxing and stress free vacation. All you have to bring to the worlds most beautiful sandy white beaches is yourself. Thanksgiving week at the Beach

Everything that I needed to prepare our feast could be found in the kitchen. Just the right cooking utensils/pots/pans/cookie sheets. Because of the dishwasher, I didn't have to resort to eating on paper plates. YEAH! Spacious bedrooms (master bedroom had a King bed), fantastic views from the balconies and washer/dryer in the unit were the deal makers. Our three (Marine Corps, College, High School age) children kept themselves entertained at the pool, hot tub and beach. Thank you!

We have stayed at Surfside since 1997. We have always stayed in the east side front units to enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of the beach/gulf/pool. I always thought the layout in these units were all the same until a few years back. In some units the eating/cooking areas are opened up and can seat more people and are more spacious. In 601/601a this area was bright and beautiful. Millie has given these units a true Florida feel with her decor and furnishings. The entire unit was smartly decorated and enhanced the beauty of being on vacation at the beach! All of the units we have stayed in were very nice but this unit was a cut above the rest. Millie was very helpful in every regard and made sure everything was perfect from the moment we arrived until our departure. Our family will continue our Destin gatherings and there is nowhere else I want to stay other than "luvitatthe beach"!!!

We loved our recent stay in unit 601 and 601A. The beautifully decorated condo was very clean and looked just like the pictures. The view of the beach was spectacular. So peaceful to sit on the balcony or in front of the floor to ceiling beachfront windows while reading a book. We were also pleased to find the condo stocked with tolietries, dishwasher soap, paper towels and even Tide! The bottle of wine and chocolates received when we first arrived were a nice touch. The kitchen cabinets are well stocked with the needed pots, pans, dinnerware, silverware just like you're at home! Millie was very accomodating when planning our stay. Her personal touches showed the pride she takes in her unit. We have stayed at Surfside several times in the past but I must say this experience was the best! We will be back! We have been to Destin several times, staying at Surf Side many times. This condo, 601 and 601a, was by far the best we have ever rented. The upgrades and renovations were all top notch. Millie was very helpful in booking the week, called us when we arrived, and left a welcome gift for us. The end unit view is absolutely awesome! We will return! My Favorite Beach Stay in 30 Years!

My family of 10 just returned from "Luv it at the Beach", and I really do not exagerate when I say this is the best beach condo we have ever rented. The units 601 and 601A are recently renovated, extremely kid friendly (we had six from 3 to 13 yrs), and the panoramic view of the beach and pool was fantastic from every room, expecially the large kitchen/den area. There was no carpet in any room, which I certainly appreciated. I was quite pleased that the units were equipped with hairdryers, toiletries, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper, since these are the items that you buy when you get there, with usually plenty left over at the end of the week. There were even rafts and a boogie board in the room for the kids. The kitchen is complete with dinnerware, silverware, pots and pans, even a very large pot for boiling shrimp or making a gumbo. The balcony off of unit 601 is very large and overlooks the pool. This worked great where we could watch the older kids at the pool, with them knowing we were checking on them. The smaller balcony off of 601A was great as it faced south, so the sun was never beating down on you as you sipped your morning coffee while listening to the ocean (heaven!) Two full walls off the kitchen/den are all glass, with many doors that locked. This brought the beach into the unit, without ever going out, and kept the little ones in. All the TV's have DVD players, with the one in the den a Blue-Ray. This kept peace amongst the various age groups in our party. Winn-Dixie is within walking distance, and the outlet malls are less than 2 miles away. There is ice available off the lobby of Surfside for 25 cents per bucket, which we found cheaper than going to the grocery store. Parking is in a covered garage, with easy entrance and exit from the units. The beach is a short walk across the breezeway. The units came with 2 umbrellas and 4 lounge chairs which we put together at the beach, providing excellent shade for the 3 year olds to play in the sand for hours without ever getting sun burn. If you want to forego the beach, the pool is great, along with the 2 hot tubs, with plenty of lounging chairs. Our 3 yr olds loved the baby pool, and played there every morning and night. The pool area is large enough that you never felt crowded. There is a shower/change area right off the pool as well. Honestly, it was the best time I've ever spent at the beach, and will return. The condo is right across from the beach, access is very easy. The condo is easy to find, in a great location. Shopping & restaurants are not too far away. The condo is clean and the pool is nice too. I did have a question while staying there and was able to get ahold of Millie quite easily. Would recommend!

We loved our recent stay at Surfside 601/601a in Destin, Florida. The weather was fantastic, the Destin area has great restaurants and the condo was amazing. The views of the beach, ocean and pool from inside the condo as well as from the balconies were wonderful. We spent the entire month of March in this comfortable, beautifully decorated and well upgraded condo. We have already committed to next year. Our hope is this will be our home away from home for several years. Millie is fantastic to work with. The entire experience was excellent and highly recommended.

Great Unit & Wonderful Experience

When we first walked in, my whole family got very excited about how nice the unit looked. Unit 601 is clean, beautifully decorated, updated with modern electronics and appliances, and has a great view of the ocean and beach. I really liked having the covered parking garage too. Millie is great to work with and provided complimentary umbrella and beach chairs as a bonus. We would definitely recommend this unit to any of our friends or family that were headed to Destin.

Had a great time with the grandkids on our annual Destin vacation. Rented all three bedrooms. Have a hard time getting up out of easy chair to go to the beach; the view was so good. We have stayed at Surfside many times over the past several years and Unit 601 was by far the best.

I highly advise you to stay in Unit 601 & 601a. Newly updated, with the newest equipment! Flat screens in all the rooms, blue ray dvd's. And the view is magnificient! Open the curtains and all you see is ocean! Weekends open your siding door and listen to the bands that play below on the deck by the pool! And the owner Millie, she is a wonderful person to meet! Looking forward to staying next yr!

Thank you for a most wonderful stay @ "Peaceful Bliss". We were so at peace and in total Bliss in our stay at 601a, We came to celebrate John's B-day (9/27) and my B-day (10/4). Also we were married on June 13,2011. So this is also a honeymoon for us. You were a big part in tis celebration in doing with Deb and Mike. Mille we love it here. The view is magnificient. The city was so warm and inviting. There is lots to do here. John was 65 on 9/27 and I will be 60 tomorrow. This is only my 2nd time seeing & being on a beach. Thank you for the experience.
