Description of the Destin vacation cottage rental

All New for 2012! We have just purchased and newly furnished our Destin Beach House!

Our charming “Castaway Cottage” is in the quaint neighborhood of Crystal Beach, known for its seaside-styled cottages and white picket fences, and has the look and feel of a “beachside bungalow”. Access the most beautiful beaches in the world, by way of the “Crystal Beach” public beach access that is only two short blocks away from your private beach retreat. Cruise around Scenic 98 and view the beach from your own private GOLF CART (pirate buggy) or with our beach bikes!

A Warm and sunny "Beach Theme" welcomes you into the spacious and comfortable living and kitchen combination. Both the front porch and back deck are perfect for enjoying the lush Florida landscape and sea breezes. The master bedroom features a plush king bed with TV and its own private bath with sit down dressing vanity. Each of the other two bedrooms features queen bedrooms, TV's with DVD plus a shared bath. Young and old alike will have fun in the Kids alcove, complete with 32 inch TV with Playstation 3. Cable TV is available in all 3 bedrooms and a 55 inch flat screen in living area, with 70 channels, as well blu-ray player plus an assortment of complimentary movies for you to view. For those who can’t leave work behind, we also have free WiFi and long distance in the US. The interior decor is tastefully furnished with a 'beachy' feel, just the way we would want it to be if we were living there, because we want you to be comfortable and return, year after year, to our “Castaway Cottage” in our vacation rental in Destin Florida! “Castaway Cottage” also welcomes small pampered pets because we know pets are family too.

Area Information

Soak in the sun at the beach, relax in your own private pool, take the bikes out for a cruise or take in the many other amenities located two short blocks from our "Castaway Cottage", such as the renowned Destin Commons, with its 75 plus stores, including the new 55,000 square foot Bass Pro Shop, Ann Taylor, Abercrombie, the renowned Hard Rock Cafe, the Rave Motion Picture theater, and the Publix grocery store, to name but a few. The Destin Commons has received over 19 million visitors so far in 2009! If golfing is your "bag", treat yourself to any of the 15 finest, world-class golf courses available, such as Kelly Plantation, Regatta Bay, 4 courses in Sandestin, and Camp Creek.

The Destin Harbor is minutes away for deep sea fishing, snorkeling, boating, jet-skiing and a spectacular firework display during the summer. The harbor is your gateway to the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico! And how about the many fine eateries serving up their fresh catch of the day (many are withing walking distance from our cottage). Close by are Big Kahuna's Waterpark, Sandestin Resort, Silver Sands Outlet Mall, The Track, and the Gulfarium. “Castaway Cottage” where memories are made!

Fantastic place! Can't say enough about this great cottage-we lacked for nothing. Your place has it all-decor, amenities and location. Our two small dogs loved the fenced in yard & great sidewalks for long walks. We loved the private pool for relaxing after the beach. The golf cart was great for getting to the beach too! We so enjoyed the convenience to Publix, Fresh Market, Walmart and Destin Commons. Your location is great! The kitchen is outfitted with everything we needed-stayed in one night & made spaghetti & grilled steaks from Fresh Market as well. You have added many special touches such as the robes, extra pillows, bicycles, beach chairs and pool towels-very thoughtful! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay-we will be back to Castaway Cottage!

Fantastic Owners and wonderful vacation rental

Patty was truly helpful and accommodating in our stay. They have thought of everything and made our stay wonderful. The house has everything that we needed along with a wonderful pool and only 2 blocks from the beach. The shopping and restaurants were also extremely close by. Best compliment I can give is that we will be back!

Patty, I just want you to know how much we really
did enjoy our vacation. If I only had one word to
describe your Castaway Cottage in Destin Florida,
it would be "fantabulous"...if there is such a word.
We were so impressed, from the very first time we
entered this adorable place with all the superior
comfy and cozy furnishings. You have also given
a lot of consideration when decorating to choosing
so many unique items adding to the character of
this place. It was really appreciated to see how
extensively equipped the kitchen was and also to
see all of the pool and beach items for our use.
I must say...arriving late in the day after a very
lengthy drive...to see frosted glasses and beer
mugs in the freezer was indeed a very welcome
sight.

An added bonus for us, was to find out we were
located in a community of quaint houses where
streets were lined with white picket fences and
yet within only a couple of blocks of the beach.
Also shopping and many restaurants were nearby.

We were sorry to see our vacation come to an
end but we're looking forward to returning to the
Castaway Cottage and all of it's charm next year.

This was a most enjoyable week just a home away from home. The house was all newly furnished and decorated. It looks exactly like the pictures. This was a real find. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook. It's so close to the beach you can walk if you want to.. A beautiful well kept neighborhood, quite and peaceful and just 2 blocks away from anything you could need, restaurants shopping centers, drug stores. We look forward to coming here again.
