Description of the Destin vacation home rental
Summertime is located right down the sidewalk from the beautiful Destin Beaches, the new Destin Commons with shopping and Rave cinema, restaurants and the community pool. You are also in a close proximity to award winning golf courses, the Destin Fishing Fleet, grocery, Mid-Bay Bridge and more shopping and more restaurants.
This one level open three bedroom, two bath cottage is equipped with a full kitchen, BBQ Grill, king, queen, and two twin beds along with a sleeper sofa. There are four televisions, DVDs and an entertainment center along with wireless internet access. An inviting front porch and a screened porch with fans offer a refuge, after a day at the beach, for catching up on a book or just kicking back enjoying the Gulf breezes, waving at neighbors passing by while waiting for the ice cream truck.

Wonderful get away

We were pleasantly surprised when we got to the cottage because it was more spacious in person than it looked in the photos. It was very cozy & calming & just let out such a good vibe from the minute we walked through the door. Since the weather was a little too cold for the beach, we spent a lot of time hanging out at the cottage just enjoying family time. We loved having our coffee on the front porch every morning. The house, the landscaping & the neighborhood was beautiful. It is a very family friendly neighborhood with people always jogging by & walking their dogs. We were able to get to the beach 1 day & it was such a nice short walk & a gorgeous beach.Our intentions were to save money & eat in the cottage as much as possible but there were just way too many good places close by to eat out that had great food & resonable prices. We are looking forward to another visit ASAP!

As a little girl I always wanted to live beside a white picket fence, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw this great little neighborhood filled with them and brick paved streets and soft pastel colors on the houses. I felt like Dorothy entering Oz. We left behind cold, dreary, barren Michigan for a sunnier spot to make our spirits soar. I did a little jig when we walked in to bright colors, nautical accessories and the knowledge that we would call this place 'home' for a week. When we left that is just what I felt like I was doing, leaving home. We live in a very nice city in Mi. but as in all cities there are places where there are pockets of problems and you need to be careful. I felt so unusually safe and protected and since we didn't read a newspaper or watch much news while there, well it was just an incredible feeling. The music of the ocean, the secrets of the stars, the possibility of sailing to uncharted lands, these are real riches. It really was like a fairy tale to stay here and we have traveled quite a bit and stayed at some very upscale places but for me this was just simple and sweet. Sometimes the upscale places make you 'want' what you might never obtain and you leave a little disconcerted. All week my husband and I said we would come back here in an instant and that is with knowing there are other beautiful places in Florida to visit. It was an easy drive down I65 and back home. It was kind of bittersweet though as we had brought our 18 year old son and 3 of his friends down to celebrate the last time they may be vacationing with their parents as they are graduating in May. Since we were responsible for these upstanding young men we were kind of reassured that they would behave when we saw the sign mentioning how many vacationers hadn't . Spring 'fever' has gotten the best of us at one time or another right? Anyway a big thank-you to all who made our trip memorable and comfortable and gave us the ability to enjoy simple things. We will spread the word!! :)

Loved Destin, loved the cottage -- great layout and amenities. We were very comfortable (5 adults, 1 child, 1 infant). Fortunately, we didn't need to bring a crib as the cottage came equipped w/ crib & high chair. The beach was a short walk away and it was nice sitting out on the porch at nite. We hope to return next year and look forward to another Destin vacation!

We stayed in summertime. It is a block from the beach. close to shopping and great resturants. The house was so great to come home to. It is cozy, relaxing and just the right size for us. We had such a great time and would stay there again!

The house has everything you need and is well stocked with the necessities (paper towels, detergent). The house has a nice and comfortable layout and was clean. I liked the beach location near by. It seemed quieter since it was near a dead end street. The beach access is definitely in walking distance and close to the best restaurant in Destin, Beach Walk Cafe. We had a great vacation on the nicest beaches of Destin and always felt comfortable to come back and rest up at the house from the hot sun.

Great summertime fun in Destin

We had a fun and relaxing trip to Destin when we recently stayed at Summertime Cottage. The house was lovely, both close to the beach and the pool and within walking distance to Destin Commons shopping. The house is open and roomy with bedrooms off the greatroom in separate directions. We loved the front porch to sit out and relax. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and entertain ourselves. All in all we enjoyed our stay and will be back again next year.

A Family Vacation in Destin

This was my husband and my first visit to Fla in 41 years. My daughter and I planned this vacation in Dec. She found this cozy cottage (Summertime) on line There were 7 of us. My husband, myself, son-in-law, daughter and three grandsons ages 15, 11, & 5. We all enjoyed this vacation very much because there was always something to do. The cottage was very comfortable and relaxing. We all slept very well. And it was great to be able to feed 3 starving boys every 2 hours. I thought the pool was awsome. Never too crowded. This was a first plane ride for the boys and it was not too long for them. Destin is a beautiful area. I believe that we would definately do this again.

we had a wonderful time in this little cottage. The little hiccups were taken care of quiickly. It is bout three blocks from the beach. It is in a great location. We cooked most of our meals and played games and watched movies. Bring your own games. They have kid movies and coloring supplies, but only a deck of cards for the adults. The deck was missing just one jack. :) there were a few minor repairs needed on the property, but not much to speak of.

My boyfriend and friends picked me up from work on Friday and drove me to Destin for a surprise birthday weekend. Of course the beaches were breathtaking, but none of us could stop talking the whole weekend about how cute, clean and convenient the Summertime cottage was. I hadn't seen the pictures online, but my friends swore the place was even better in person. Thanks for making a great memory even better!

Fun in the Summertime

We stayed at the condo named Summertime. The cottage was clean and beautifully decorated. We had a short and easy walk to the beach and we were located close to all restaurants, stores and entertainment. We had a great time and we would love to go back.

We enjoyed staying at "Summertime" while visiting Destin. The house is in a great location and close to every store possible. We could walk to Destin Commons Mall, beach, breakfast and pool. We loved the beautiful neighborhood it was in. We enjoyed morining walks looking at all the beautiful homes as we walked down to the beach which is breathe taking. The bright colors made our stay cheerful and happy. "Summertime" met all our needs. My family really enjoyed staying in the "Summertime" property and would gladly stay there again.

My family and I had a wonderful weekend. The location is close to the beach and shopping centers. It made it easy for us to get to each destination w/o the fear of getting lost. Check-in /out was easy and hassle free. My children are ready to go back. The rooms were clean and decorated very nicely. I would recommend anyone to stay here and guarantee there will be no complaints. Did I mention the neighbors were nice and the surrounding area is as nice as the cottage.
