Description of the Destin vacation home rental
The 3rd Floor includes two very large King Master Suites with private bathrooms along with partial views of the Gulf of Mexico off one of the decks. One Master suite has an adjoining bunkroom. The other Master Suite has a twin room, full sleeper, and a fireplace.
The large first floor King Bedroom can serve as a mother-in-law suite with twin room/sofa sleeper/kitchen/private patio/bathroom. This room sleeps up to 5 people comfortably.
Enjoy one of the many decks for some privacy. You will find TV’s in every bedroom and family room. We provide many beach amenities such as 2 bicycles, beach chairs, a 10x10 beach awning, umbrellas, some children’s toys for guest use.
We own and manage this house and love the house and the area. Terra Cotta is a family friendly neighborhood and is close to the Big Kahuna’s Water Park and Shopping Centers and within walking distance to many fine restaurants.
You won’t get better customer service anywhere! We have the best cleaning/maintenance people on the beach!
Area Information
Chateau Margo is within walking distance to several restaurants such as Pompano Joes (1 mile), Crab Trap (1/2 mile), Kenny D's (2 blocks), Captain Dave's (2 blocks). A little further down is Camille's for breakfast or lunch and a Latte or smoothie.
The Destin Commons Mall is within 2 miles of our home. If the little ones need a break from the water, the Destin Commons Mall has activities such as splash pad, face painting, train ride, and best of all ice cream! Oh, and don't forget shopping!!
One of our favorite things to do later in the week is to rent a Pontoon boat at Luther's and go to Crab Island for some fun on the Bay.
You may want to catch a show at the newly renovated Gulfarium in Ft. Walton. My grandkids love the Gulfarium and so do I!
And for all you golfers – you won’t find better golfing anywhere!
And of course there’s the fishing. I haven’t been (I get seasick) but it might be of interest to you!
These are a few of the things we love to do when we visit Destin. We hope you enjoy them too!

July family and friends trip for 18

Great house and location! With 18 people we did not feel on top of each other ever. The house is very sectioned off so you have several areas for each family. They provide tons of stuff for the beach and the walk is very short. The only improvement I would suggest is to upgrade the sleeper sofa in the main living room and the first floor master. The home is great and the owners have thought of everything you need.

Absolutely Perfect!

We were in Destin for my daughter's wedding and stayed at Chateau Margo...what an absolute perfect home!! From the beginning to end, renting ang staying here was RELAXING! Dealing with the owner of this home is like working with your new best friend. Betty Peacock is so sweet and helpful and her home is immaculate. Anything and everthing you would need is there! From the gourmet kitchen to childrens toys and beach supplies it is all there! Luxury and hominess will surround you! I cannot even begin to do this house and setting justice with words! If you want relaxation and perfection this is the place to stay! My family and I will be back as often as possible!

Our family and friends had a wonderful time in this home. 12 adults arrives at various times for our son's wedding on the beach walking distance from Chateau Margo. The owner was very helpful and considerate of our needs. A memorable stay!

Our stay was a blast. We had a group of eleven adults and two kids. The efficiency was a great spot for the couple with the kids. There was enough space to have some privacy, while still being a part of the group. The house was stocked with everything we possibly needed. They had a brand new grill, enough dishes to accommodate all of us, and plenty of beach supplies. My favorite thing about the house was sitting out on one of the many decks with friends. There was a pretty good restaurant/bar about two blocks away. As far as the owners, Betty was great. She was very responsive to emails and didn't seem to be bothered by all of my calls. Only complaint I have is the pictures of the house online don't do it justice. If the opportunity came up, I would definitely rent out the house again.

I can't describe our first family reunion at this house other than FABULOUS!!! I arrived on Friday night in the middle of a severe storm and entered the house and was amazed. All the furnishings are beautiful. The linens on the beds is so nice. There is so much silverware and dishes in the kitchen you couldn't ask for more, plus you have the extra kitchen in the basement. There were 11 of us with 3 children under the age of 6. They had so much room to play. The pool is directly across the street from the house and there were never more than 2 other people in the pool. It only takes about 3-4 min. to walk to the beach, of course Destin beach can't be beat. The TVs were all good but there was only one DVR which didn't work but who cares, no one wanted to watch it anyway, too much other stuff to do. All the bedrooms had outdoor porches to enjoy. The main deck and the deck downstairs had tables and room for all of us. The brand new grill was wonderful and we used it every night. We cooked 3 meals a day and no one's diet was in force. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone, big or small. The eleven of us fit in nicely and had beds to spare. The towels were so plush you just wanted to soak or shower and then enjoy fluffy towels to dry. The garage had lots of beach stuff to use (although we brought a lot of our own which we won't the next time). There were 2 bicycles in the garage for our use and we sure used them. It was so much fun to bike around the neighborhood. The Crab Shack and Pompano Joe's is so close you could walk to them for lunch or dinner. Jim and Betty were very accommodating and we will look forward to coming back to this house for many years. I told Betty she would have to get a lawyer to physically remove me from the house cause I wasn't going to leave. I did but sure didn't want to. Thank you so much for making our reunion a wonderful experience.
