Description of the Dexter vacation cabin rental

Waterfront cabin on quiet lake. Fishing, boating, canoeing, and kayaking. Great walking trails, wildlife, loons, eagles, and deer. Close to downtown shopping, churches, golf and attractions. One half hour from beautiful Moosehead Lake. . Have to bring your own boat. Sleeps up to 5 people. Sorry no pets. Maximum number of people is 5.

Many nearby lakes and beautiful country roads for site seeing . Nearby farm stands to purchase fresh vegetables and flowers during the growing season.

Quiet and welcoming

August 13, 2012

This cabin was the perfect place to unwind, and just exactly what we'd wanted. Great for bird-watching. Hummingbirds hang around the cabin, we got to know the family of loons on the lake well, and we saw a bald eagle, twice! We also saw big fish swim right up to the dock. The cabin was very clean and well-stocked. The friendly owners and rental agent made a point of making sure we had everything we needed. We found some great farm stands and ate like royalty. There are antique shops nearby to explore. The public library welcomes workaholics who feel the need to check e-mail. The tap water is not potable, but the owners left half a dozen gallons of drinking water just in case we hadn't brought our own (we had). I wish we could have stayed longer.
