Description of the Dillon vacation cabin rental

Enjoy the peace of Grasshopper Valley located in scenic Polaris-Pioneer Mountains (near Dillon). Newer cabin nestled in the mountians with breathtaking views in all directions. Sleeps 6 comfortably but can fit up to 7. Seven private acres to enjoy. Cabin has own stocked trout pond to fish from and Grasshopper Creek running thru it where you can fish as well. 150 miles of groomed snowmobile trails, hop on your sled at the cabin and go!! Mile high ski runs 5 minutes away at Maverick Mountain, dirt biking/mountain biking, fishing, hunting, or just relaxing. Polaris scenic bypass was just completed and takes you up to the Wise River, Beaverhead River and Big Hole River, the best fly fishing in the lower 48's. Moose, deer, elk, antelope, you name it roam the property. Doesn't get any better than this. Cabin is clean and decorated with rustic flare! Come enjoy as we have! Enjoy Crystal Park to dig for crystals or Bannock State Park which is a real ghost town.

Price listed is for Double Occupancy. 2 guests $115 per night/4 guests $130 per night/6 guests $145 per night. $50 cleaning fee is charged as well. May be a pet deposit as well.

The cabin will be added onto in the spring of 2010 so the photos now do not show the addition. It's expected to be completed by early June 2010.

Area Description

Mountain valley known as Grasshopper Valley. Grasshopper Creek flows thru back of property and dumps into Beaverhead River. Polaris is located 30 miles northwest of Dillon MT and 60 mile SW of Butte. Dillon is 60 minutes from Butte, 2 hours from Bozeman or 2 hours from Idaho Falls, Idaho. Polaris is a small cabin town with very friendly locals. Cabin is 1 mile from Maverick Ski Hill. Elk Horn Hot springs is 2 miles up the road. Lost Trail Ski Area is about 1 hour away. Bannack State Park, Crystal Park where you can dig for quartz crystals, Jackson Hot Springs, ghost towns to explore, so much to do or do nothing at all! Private, peaceful, and majestic!! Hike Sawtooth Mtn. So much more!

Other Fees: Can do house keeping or you do it yourself. Can have food and other items there per request. Caretaker/housekeeper will attend to anything. Fees depend on what's requested.

We were able to do many fun activities such as,panning for gold,digging crystals,fishing,swiming at many hotsprings,visiting friends and relatives, and last but not least just kicking back and relaxing.We had moose and deer vist us daily.My wife grandaughter and I had a awesome visit. This home was great. Every convience you have in your own home is here. Enjoy just sitting around or go to Maverick skiing, Elk Horn Hots Springs and soak for hours. Watch the Moose right outside the cabin. I would recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful retreat, December 7, 2008

We arrived and were pleasantly surprised to find a well kept cute little cabin secluded on the acreage. It had everything one would need for a quiet retreat from the rat race. We love to cook, and found that almost everything in the way of appliances were available in the tiny kitchen. A full size stove, fridge and a weber bbq did the trick. We are used to cooking with gas, and the Jenn Aire had a gas top and electric oven. We would highly recommend this great cabin.
