We have named our property "THE FOREST HOUSE" because of the enchanting and magical nature of the setting among thick groves of aspen and pines. Enjoy all that the Colorado high country has to offer, all four seasons, in this beautiful home, warmly decorated with southwestern and mountain art. Relaxing on the back deck, or soaking in the hot tub, is to escape all your cares as you breathe in the fragrance of pine and watch the squirrels and birds at play. Deer, fox and sometimes bear frequent the property to enjoy the wild raspberries and wildflowers surrounding the home. Yet, you are in the center of so many sites and attractions that you will have to come back again and again to see and do it all!

Surrounded by National Forest and several State Parks, the Pikes Peak area is a natural wonderland of hiking trails and four wheel roads. "The Forest House" is located in the midst of these but easily accessable less than a mile off the highway on a county maintained road. You are only 10 minutes from gambling and restaurants in historical Cripple Creek, 20 minutes from Woodland Park, and 35 minutes from Manitou Springs.

After a busy day of activities, sink into the overstuffed sofa and enjoy a crackling fire in the fireplace as you wind down with DVD movies or dish TV. The large master suite features double sinks and a garden tub and all bedding is new with pillowtop mattresses. The kitchen is set up with many extras for your convenience like foil, plastic wrap and spices.
