The Leipsic River is on the southern boarder of a 1,600 Acre National Wildlife Refuge and just 5 miles from the Children's Science Camp at Big Oak Park, Smyrna.

We have numerous local hunting guides and fishing boats available for hire as we are very close to the Delaware Bay.

Sambo's Tavern, named after the grandfather, Samuel Burroughs, serves old bay seasoning on blue claw crabs by the bushel! A favorite for local color, their big windows look out onto the ever changing river and their beer is cold.

The State Capital, called Dover, was laid out by William Penn, and boasts many locally owned restaurants an historic opera house and other music venues.

There are small airports nearby offering lessons and gliding. The Dover Downs and Dover Mall offer modern conveniences and many amenities.

The Kent General Hospital is also 5 miles away and specializes in heart patients.
