Area Description
Half way between the Verdoncanyon and St Tropez, near the medieval village of Les Arcs , LE BELVEDERE is located 5 km (3,1miles) from the medieval village of ''''''Les Arcs '''''' in the heart of the Provence -Cote d'Azur (department of ''''''Var ''''''). This region is renowned for its colourful weekly markets, beautiful countryside villages and many vineyards producing the famous ''''''Côte de Provence ''''''.
It is the paradise for golf, tennis, cycling, hiking, and all watersports to do.
The Var has about ten golf courses to choose from within a 20 km radius, the nearest is at St Endreol. The spectacular Gorges du Verdon are an hour's drive and St Tropez is 60 kms from here. The nearest beaches at St Raphaël, St Aygulf and Fréjus are about 35 km away.
''''''Les Arcs '''''' is located 30km (20miles) from the beaches of Ste Maxime and St Aygulf and 50km (30miles) from the famous village of St. Tropez, Cannes, the Islands of ''''''Levant '''''', and also in the proximities of the magnificent ''''''Canyon of Verdon '''''' (Verdon canyon).

Salernes, 10 minutes, is famous for its wrought iron artisans and for making earthenware floor tiles. There is also a 17th century château with gardens attributed to Le Nôtre. The countryside here is especially beautiful everywhere you look. Many of the vineyards that produce Côtes de Provence wines are nearby and you can visit the cellars in Lorgues to sample some of them, or visit the vineyards themselves in Taradeau and at the pretty medieval village of Arcs.

Dear Brigitte & Bernard
Thank you for such a warm welcome and for sharing your beautiful home and giving us your time as well. It has fillt like we are staying with family not as a bed and breakfast. We could not have asked for a better end to our beautiful holiday. We spoke to Bernard over the phone two months ago and realised that, that we would be lodged after in France. What we didn’t realise was HOW WELCOME you would make us feel. Especially when we turned up a day early!!!
Thank you Ian and Renée Tailor
