Description of the Dunnellon vacation home rental

Enjoy the beauty of old Florida, only minutes from everywhere yet miles from nowhere in this wonderful rustic retreat. Come and unwind admist the natural beauty of the nature coast, whether it be suntanning on the riverside deck, floating downriver on a raft, fishing from your readily accessible private boat or kayaking down the virgin but captivating Withalacoochee River. Spend your evenings enjoying your favorite drinks at the fireside table while enjoying the pure pleasure of nature. Come and relax and enjoy life as you deserve too!


New Packages Available and all prices are based on 6 person occupancy.

1. 3 days/2 nights basic accommodation. $150.00 per day.
2. 3 days/ 2 nights with 1 full day river cruise. Includes
beverages(excluding alcohol)lunch and fuel. $200.00 per
day.
3. 7 days/6 nights with basic accommodation. $750.00 per
week.
4. 7 days/ 6 nights. With one full day river cruise, and
one 1/2 day river cruise. Including beverages
(excluding alcohol)lunch, and fuel. $900.00 per week.

5. 7 day/ 6 nights. With two full day river cruises, 1
half day river cruise and 1 evening BBQ. Includes: food,
bevarages (excluding alcohol), and fuel. $1200 per week.

These prices are year round, including holidays. Please make reservations well in advance to ensure booking.

PLEASE NOTE: IT IS CUSTOMARY TO TIP THE CAPTAIN AFTER EACH TRIP: THESE PRICES DONOT INCLUDE TIPPING. A 15% TIP WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDED FOR PARTIES OF 4 OR MORE.

• Other Fees: Kayak and Canoe rentals are available with advance notice. Laundry and maid service if desired. Catered BBQ upon request. Bike rentals with advance notice. If bringing pets, $25.00 nonrefundable fee. Additional fees required for damage or theft of inventory.

Our stay at this property was great. Our host(Patty) was very accomadating and made our stay on land and water as perfect as possible. We will definetly go there again.

It appears we've christened Paty's vacation oasis- we are her first paying customers! Quite an honor as it is obvious Patty has tremendous enthusiasm for creating charming and idyllic spaces. We have had a fine time staying in her well equipped vacation cottage. The home is comfortable, inviting and has all the importanct conveniences. It even boasts of some original exquisite photography from Patty's world travels. We intended to spend our days exploring the national forest, but we found the serenity of her property, with its many decks, river access, choice of boats and eating spaces and all embraced by a circle of mature trees offering full privacy, too attractive to leave. Patty did everything possible to make our stay the best it could be and catered to our every need. A charming retreat and a very pretty, solicitous host. Well there is one more thing: Patty could have let us steal one of her dogs. We would of taken either Mia or Red, two more loving dogs you will not find.

First, Patty is an excellent host. She is accommodating, friendly, and conscious that her guests' time is best spent relaxing, and enjoying the natural beauty of area. (She's cute, too.) Her property is spacious, covered with live oaks, natural flora, and plenty of shade. The kids (or adults) can fish off the pier for bass, bream, and a little fighting freshwater devil called a "chinquapin." But the best part is slowly cruising down the river, which is crystal clear, full of fish, and remarkably undeveloped in areas. Patty is a licensed boat captain who can tell you about the area or her adventures sailing the West Indies and across the Atlantic. See alligators, blue heron, egrets, and the rumored Skunk Ape, which is Florida's mythical (?) version of Bigfoot. I haven't seen one yet, but my two boys and I wil be back in a month or so to widen the search. If you are an artist, writer, or someone who draws inspiration from sheer natural beauty, this is the place to recharge.

We are New Yorkers and stayed at Serenity during our Easter break. It is both peaceful and charming. The views are spectacular and the owner was more than willing to accomodate our every need. We will be back next year!

The unit we stayed in was very comfortable and nicely furnished. The master bedroom easily accomodates two adults with its queen-size bed. There is a pull-out sofa bed in the living room for an additional two guests. The small den/office can accomodate small children also-my son's pack n' play fit very well in here! The best part of our stay was the property. Truly breathtaking! The large sundeck sits right on the river and offers an excellent spot for sunning, reading or just relaxing. There is a pontoon boat at your disposal for leisurely cruises up/down the river, including a picnic lunch. Follow your day's adventures with a nice glass of wine and a soak in your private hottub and gaze up at the myriad stars blanketing the night's sky and your are truly in heaven! If you are looking for additional eco-adventures, both Homossassa Springs and Crystal River are a close drive. My 7-month old son, Conner LOVED the manatees! Thanks, Patty, for a wonderful stay! Truly relaxing!
