Casa del Sole means "house of the sun", and that is exactly what you will find when you stay at this beautiful holiday house on the beach in Umdloti. Umdloti is a seaside village, 24km north of Durban on the East Coast of South Africa. This stretch of coastline is called the Dolphin coast due to the frequent sightings of Dolphins in the surf. Whales can also be spotted during the Spring months. The house has four tastefully furnished bedrooms: The main bedroom has a king size bed with en suite bathroom with double basin, bath and shower. The second and third bedrooms have queen size double beds and the fourth bedroom has two single beds. The second bathroom also has twin basins, bath and shower. We price ourselves in providing quality, clean linen and towels to our guests.

The kitchen is amply supplied with everthing that you would require to feed 8 people. There is an oven wit hop, and a microwave oven, as well as other gadgets to make food preparation easy. There is also a Charcoal Weber Barbecue, to enjoy cooking in the great outdoors.

Area Description

This is an ideal getaway for family and friends. The house is set on the quiet beach road, and the sea is withing 200m of the lounge area. Swimming is permitted on this beach, which is ideal for children with many rock pools to spend hours of fun in. If you would prefer to swim with the safety of life guards at hand, there are 3 areas withing 2,5km of the house that are designated swimming beaches.

For rainy days, Gateway Shopping Centre is a 10 minute drive away and provides entertainment at Cinemas, Advernture Golf, MTN Science Centre, Wave House, Rock wall and lots more. Other places of interest include the Shark's Board in Umhlanga, the Umgeni River Park, Japanese Gardens in Durban North; and countless other activities in Durban, not forgetting a day's visit to Ushaka Water Park and Marine World.

There are 4 restaurants in the village of Umdloti, all within easy walking distance of the house. You will also find 2 small grocery stores, a petrol station, a pharmacy, a video shop, a pizza take-away, and a few other little stores.
