Description of the East Falmouth vacation cottage rental

Clean and comfortable, our home has a large living room/dining room, fully equipped kitchen, large wooded back yard and patio. There is a right-of-way access to EEL RIVER, great for kayakers to launch and paddle to Washburn's Island and Waquoit Bay. There is one queen bedroom, one bedroom with two twin beds and one bedroom with one twin beds. There is a couch in the living room and lots of floor space in-between.

All in all, a great place for a family vacation or for a quiet getaway for yourself.

Area Information

The location is perfect for all sorts of activities. We are on the bike/beach route to Falmouth Village and Woods Hole. Menahaunt Beach is just a short walk or bike ride (no need for beach sticker or parking fee if you don't park your car!). Hyannis is only 30 minutes away, and the Island Queen to Martha's Vineyard is only a 10 minute car ride, but there are so many things to do in Falmouth, you may not have time to leave.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities

We enjoy swimming at all the Vineyard Sound beaches, kayaking to Washburn's Island, bicycling everywhere (no car needed if you're up to it!). Trips to Martha's Vineyard on the Island Queen are a great adventure for all ages. Shopping and eating out in the Village of Falmouth is a treat and there is something for everyone to do around town (public library, Liam McGuire's on a Saturday night, La Cucina del Sol....a few favorites among many others).

Mary & Roy - THANK YOU! My five sisters and I, along with our 80 year old mother, had such an extremely fun and memorable stay here at your cozy home. We had such fine weather. Every morning we had a gourmet breakfast on the patio, then planned our day. We went to the beach, a walkbout in town, tea and scones in the Tea Room along Main Street, an excursion to Woods Hole and Aquarium, a ferry ride to Martha's Vineyard , and loads of laughs! ll in four days! We had such a wonderful time here on Cape Cod and in your cozy house. When we first arrived here during Hurricane Irene, we were not sure how things would come out, but then even that was a very special experience for us. We even enjoyed the blackout and made ourselves comfortable with candles. We really fell in love with this island, discovered many different beauriful beaches, went whale watching (a great adventure for the kids), had great food, loved the thrift and antique shops, found some pretty souvenirs there - so all in all, perfect holidays. If Cape Cod wasn't so far away from our home country, we would definitely come back next year!! Thanks a lot for letting us have this experience!! Dear Mary & Roy: We are refreshed and renewed! The sea air and peaceful setting were great "medicine" for the stressful city life of Newburgh - NOT A JOKE! Great Location As Promised (Summer 2012)
I would definitely recommend this property to any family or couple wanting to get away to a very nice part of the cape. The house is directly across from the Eel River which is a very pretty river to kayak. Washburn Island is a short kayak trip away and well worth doing. The beach is less than a mile - very easy bike ride to get there. House was very clean and fully stocked as promised. Owners were very easy to deal with. Photos were accurate. This is a comfortable place to stay. We went to the aquarium in Woods Hole - small but nice though not a lot of parking. Falmouth Center is fun to shop - on Thursdays there is a farmer's market at the park by the library. I would recommend Patriot Boats for deep sea fishing. We will definitely return.
